It is always majority that plays a huge role in all decisions, even in small communities - simply because it is impossible to please every single person. Yes, the bigger Menewsha gets, the less influence one single voice has - but the more people there are that could agree with that one, lone, single voice, to become a large group of users with the same opinion, possibly even a majority, or at the least a big minority.
And, different from most other sites, at Mene staff's size grows with the community. So the ratio will never become 1:1000000, if you get my meaning. Sure, the ratio may change slightly within time, but it will never be the case that while the community boosts and booms, the staffcount stagnates or falls down.

Yes, a bigger community will mean change. But change is inavoidable - keeping things the same for the sake of tradition only is of no good. Yes, I am certain there will be a part of the older members - not by age, but by date of registration - that will leave this site, not happy with how things change. Yes, I am certain there will be new members that turn their backs to Menewsha, unhappy with how things here stay the same they have ever been.
Yes, I am certain that many of us from the middle, neither newbies nor true veterans, will feel confused and lost for a while, until change has settled in.
It is how things are. Change is unavoidable, and the only thing we, as a community, can do, is help staff to make certain it will be a change for the better, not one for the worse.

Hi, I was reading some of the earliest and lateest posts and I was wondering, how do you keep track of so many?! This thread is HUGE!! ...kinda scary >.<

I learned to read pretty quickly, skipping most posts to check for posts directed at me first, reply to them, then read all other posts I missed, reply to anything important in them - like, when any drama happens here in my charity, or if a good friend of me/a loyal regular has had something bad or very good happen to them and tells that to someone else then me.
Anyway, no need to be scared by my charity - people here are very friendly and I love seeing new people in my charity. So, welcome to At the End of the Rainbow and welcome to Menewsha, Lusalma. I hope you like Menewsha so far?

Ah, yes. Like I told Irken, we're growing heavily the last couple of months. We're now nearing an average of 10 pages per day over the past couple of 100 pages.

I guess it's good that there are a lot of us bouncing around in here!

Irken: It certainly is. Sometimes it gets slightly difficult to keep tracks of things, but it's certainly a lot more rewarding than when it grows only two posts per day.
Over the past 200 pages, we've grown with an average of 9.5 pages per day.
That's just wow, seeing as how we came from an average of about 2 pages per day, and in our lows sometimes even less than one page per day for a few weeks.

Wow, that is slow.

Must've been during times when Mene's having a low traffic of people come through, maybe due to school testing and work and holidays and whatnot.

Yeah. And it often was during the times when I sometimes randomly disappeared for weeks or even a few months.

Yeah, I did notice you were gone for awhile.
But the regulars seem to keep it afloat! ^^

I hope the same can be said when I'm able to start a charity of my own. ^^
