@Sarah - If you want a quick way to type some emotions here are some.

^-^ || ^^ || ^_^
All three state that you're joking or that the statement should be taken in good light so that someone doesn't think that you're being sarcastic or rude.

>.< || >.0 || 0.< || o.< || >.o
These are way's of saying "oh boy" or saying "don't hit me" (mainly the first one) when you've said a joke or are embarrassed by something. Though, the last four can also be associated with embarrassed shock. I don't really think that you'd use any of them all that often, though.

T-T || T^T || ;-;
These three are when you're sad or you're describing something that has made you sad and you want to state that you were upset or what not.

o.0 || o.o || 0.0
The first one is more often used to convey a confused version of shock. Like if someone said something that shocked you, but you are confused by a statement or fact. It's kinda like cocking an eyebrow. The next two are for absolute shock. The middle is for a small "oh" of surprise, but if you're really shocked and taken off guard by something, you'd use the third one.

-.- || o.- || -.o
These are sort of neutral expressions. The first is a way of expressing *stare* and the last two are smaller ways of winking. Though, for a bigger wink, that would be taken in good light would be either >.^ or ^.<. They don't look as nice which is why you'd probably use the smaller two.

=.= || ~.~
Both icons express a sort of daze, or to being tired.

X.X || x.x || X-X || x-x
These would be used when you are sick and tried of something and you just want to "die" or be KO'd (knocked-out). Like when you say that "That test is going to kill me!" You'd use one of the two afterwords to express that. Or you could use the head-desk icon to symbolize being KO'd.

-.-* || -.-' || -.-, || $-$ || $.$
The first one is for when you're angry. And the asterisk can switch sides. The next two are the *sweat* expressions; though, you could also use the ";", but it doesn't look as good. The last too are when you're talking about money, and it is really good; like someone handing you a million dollars as a present.

I know that in the emocons people use the oops one for blushing, so you can either stick with that.

You could also go with the basic XD (Mischievous laughter), XP (Whatever), and 8D (Surprised happiness . . . like when someone hands you a million dollars ^-^) some of these you can change into actual emocons by only adding a ":" to the beginning and/or end.

There are a few more, but I can't really think of what some are.

D8 is one... for epic unhappiness...
