Sorry I poofed, the phone rang and it was about my dog. :D She's been really sick and had to stay at the vet over the weekend, but I"m happy because we get to bring her home today. :D

So yeah, now I'm doing really well today. :D

What edition(s) of D&D do you play? I don't think I've asked you before... but I may have just forgot.

Yay it really is great. I've been so worried about her . . . mainly why I haven't been chatting, can't really think of things to say. :D But now she will come home and be with me again. :D

I've never played D&D myself.

I have like the 3rd edition, which I know is like ages old, but it's what I first learned on and I haven't had money to get the new books for the upgrade. XD

So you know . . . old school, but it works. I even have some of the old original books that d&d made back when you picked the kind of druid and all you would be, and each one was different. Then they had a book for each class. XD

3rd edition? Old? Naw, not so much, it's a young edition by comparison! I learned on 3rd edition as well, and still love it. I've also played 1st and second... 1st is about 30 years old now. :XD

I'm currently playing in two 4th edition games, and they are a blast!

Oh I bet!!

I have yet to sit down and read all the new stuff in a 4th edition. I need to get the money together mainly. XD

But yeah d&d is fun, no matter the edition, they always seem to do a good job. :D

I belive you can download a sort of quick-start rules set for 4th edition, it could give you some insight into it. I'll be honest, I didn't like it at first. But once I played a few times I fell head over heels in love with it.

But yes, no matter the edition, I have fun. It's kind of up to the players and DM too, for a good experience.

@Kirin Sorry! I think D&D fans have this magnet that makes us latch and start blabbing about our hobby non-stop. :XD D&D is a pen and paper RPG, it's about 30 years old. LOTS of fun. :D

Well for me it's not often to find someone that likes D&D. I live in Utah, and a lot of people think it's like evil or something here. It's really lame, so it's nice to find someone that likes it. XD

What do you like to do/read/play when you're no here on mene, Kirin?

I read lots. I'll read almost anything.

@Selphie I know the feeling. When I first started D&D, a lot of people still thought it was evil. Thankfully, my own mother started defending the game (she sat in on one of our session, once), so that helped, at least locally.

We have far too many players, and not enough DMs, and about the time we have enough DMs, we don't have enough players. D: Vicious cycle.

@Kirin I love reading, mostly high-fantasy, but I love a good true murder/crime story, or horror novel every now and then.

Right now I am seriously into the Sookie Stackhouse series of books. And I will admit to enjoying the Twilight Saga. I adore Nora Roberts. I ready Stephen King.

Really? That's kind of cool. I guess I"m sort of picky when it comes to what I like to read. XD

I read mostly fantasy, I don't like historical fiction or like fiction about today's world, I figure I have enough reality as it is, why read more about it. XD

So yeah things with magic, wizards, unicorns, or modern life with a touch of the magical, that's the fun stuff for me. :D So far the only sets of books I've liked that are sort of modern are So you want to be a Wizard? series and Twilight Saga. ;)

@Kirin I read and enjoyed the Twighlight series, but compared to some of my friends, I'm not nearly as obsessed as they are. HUGE Jacob fan, so of course I could have ended it with the 2nd book. :XD With a different ending, of course.

Yeah but I started it sort of in the middle of the Artemis Fowl set. XD So yeah I need to get the first book and go from there. But the 2 that I"ve read, I've really liked and would love to read tons more!!

Yeah Twilight was awesome, but I'm not like a rabid fan girl or anything. XD More of an interested reader that fell in love with the whole storyline. :D I don't have a favorite between the two guys . . . I like em both, pros cons and all. XD So yeah my favorite character is Alice. :D She's so neat!!
