I plan on buying a few sets of 52 commons for newbies. Would it be best to pick sets of matching colors (like red stockings, red shorts, red singlet, perhaps legwarmers as well) or allowing them to choose their own colors for each of them, picking from the colors I have in stock?

I think you should let them choose.

I guess so, but it would make it a little more difficult.

Also, which colors should I go for first? Currently my plans are Black, Red, Foxxy(which is orange), Welcome(which is yellow), Snowy(light blue) and Dragon(which is green), probably going for a shade each of pink, purple, dark blue and white next.
