Hiya. Izumi tried long enough and finally got me going. Having a second computer in the house helped. Or it made me run out of excuses. Not sure which yet.

I fell for the "you looked better on your facebook picture, than you do in real life." thing.
only..it was the guy that i just got into a car with that fits that discription. he was SUPER HOT in his photo's but he's got a mental and phyisical dissabilitiy and has been using a voice over trick while we where on the phone. I feel icky. :S

Don't you just love internet blind dates... I managed to meet Izumi that way, but that was one in a million. The other 999,999 were all crap.

Gosh that's really awkward, Strawberry... =/ My husband and I met from the internet and I can only speak positive things about my experiences. I have bumped into a few weirdos, but luckily I was able to sniff them out...

I had 4 different "one-date-only" internet first dates. Then I met Izumi. The first 4 count as some of the most uncomfortable moments of my life.

Well wait...my ex-husband was an interesting experience. I guess I have had some bad things happen. Then there's that guy from Canada who really made me question myself. I talked to a friend of his a few months back and she says he's still single, living with his parents, and feeling miserable. I guess I wasn't missing much. :P

I think the internet romance can be a tricky thing. I only have good things to say about it as that's how I met my boyfriend but I have heard of and been a witness to some really bad flings.

I know that internet dating is certainly a game of patience. More often than not, its akward.
The only reason it wasn't uncomfortable for Izumi and I is that I told her on the phone that I would kiss her the minute I met her and I made good on that promise. :)

Well I think the internet makes it easier for the more socially inept to meet people and it can be unfortunately really easy to mask those things about yourself that normally handicap you from getting dates.

I think that it's nice getting to know someone intellectually before taking the whole physical aspect into it. I think the first meeting was VERY nerve wracking though as it's the moment of truth. :P
