Why should it change anything? Male or female? On the internet, all you have are your ideas, and your pixels. Your pixels may lean to one side or the other or stay in the middle of the road, or flip flop back and forth, but first and formost are your words, that is how you learn to befriend people, give and gain respect, and learn new things.

... I was kind of joking. *shrugs* I dont actually care for persons gender in 95% of cases. Because, yes, you befriend the person before the gender. Just... Well, if Duo is woman, it makes me look at few things (s)he said from a quite new angle. 8D;;

CIs are Contribution Items that you can purcahse with Mennies. When the month ends, they become retired and you can buy them only in menewshan Exchange, a board within the forums. ^^; The same happens with EIs that comes from certain Events and can be obtained only in them.
