I'm trying to motivate myself to finish some things. Otherwise, I am alright.

On a happier note: nearly done with maxing out in the arcade on mule, charity mule and main. One more game and I'm done.

That's good. What are your thoughts on them lowering the max gold for games and upping the post gold?

I have a charity mule. He sees more activity than my personal mule though I've neglected him the past few days.

Hm. Mixed feelings. Those that are here just for the games will keep playing them anyway, because if they don't care about avatars or the community, the lowered cap hardly matters. Those that already posted a lot will hardly post more because the cap is lower - most don't seem to bother with maxing out a lot of the time. Heavy CI suppliers usually don't need the gold from gaming or posting except when they're questing for extremely expensive items. It may bring a bit more posts from those that usually mostly rely on games for their gold, but a lot of people have mixed income anyway. Art, CI suppliers, exchangers, games and posting, to name the most common.
People that want to post will post; people that want to game will game. Most people do a mix of those anyway, and I think that it only influences the heavy gamers, but if they prefer the games to the forum, either they stop caring for the gold or stop going here, with a few exceptions here and there, and those with a mix of posting and gaming that consists of maxing out first, then posting. It's not an extremely effective method, in my opinion.

And while the games do cause inflation, upping the amount of gold gained per post will probably mean that most people with a mixed income based mostly on games and posting (because those are the only two things that create new gold) will probably gain a similar income as they did, perhaps slightly higher - I'm not sure how much the gold-per-character rate was changed. The gamers add less gold to the economy, but those that rely on posting mostly add more gold in change...

@ Liztress : I see! =O Sorry, I didn't realize you had a charity. ^^;; I don't check the Charity forums enough anymore. xDD;;

@ Sil : You should post your feedback in the announcement thread if you want it known. =O I know the moderators and administrators check that thread regularly to get reactions from the users and to see if they should keep the new game gold limit or revert it back to the old one. XP

The gold rate went for the max of 20 gold to 30, if I remember correctly.

I'm still not sure how I feel though I agree with a lot of what you say, if not all.
