I'm not sure how I feel overall. I know, for my account and personal use, the lower cap on the games has no effect on me as I rarely play them. With the post gold upped to 30, it's nice but I don't see where I've been gaining more gold than normal.

Yes, from 20 to 30, but that was the max-per-post. To quote the announcement:

So now you can get a maximum of 30 gold for a post, and the per character gold has been raised by a teeny, tiny amount too, so you benefit whatever your post length, enjoy!

Before I post any feedback, I am trying to figure out the exact changes, because if that 'teeny, tiny amount' is, say, 0.000001 gold per character more, there WILL in fact be less new gold into the community, which means less inflation - although... it also means people hold on tighter to their rares, to wait for the time when they fetch the same price they once did, which means that the non-commons get harder to find, which means that people are willing to pay more for them, which means more inflation.

EDIT: I think that changing the gold-per-post max to 30 does not matter much for most Menewshans. In my experience, it's only the Debaters, Roleplayers and writers that commonly reach posts that would have gone far above 20g had it, at that time, been possible.

And true. I agree that those who normally post lengthy posts will see the bigger change.

If I remember well, it USED to be 0.02 gold per character, spaces excluded, everything between QUOTE tags excluded, etc. If I keep track of gold-count pre-post, post, check goldcount after post, I can see how much gold said post brought me.
Divide said amount by amount of characters, spaces and BBCode excluded and there you are.

Ah, that would be the way to do it. *sweatdrop* I should have thought about that.

Easiest would be checking amount of characters before posting, though, to make it end on a 0, preferably two zeroes, because otherwise, it's hard to check if it's something beyond the 0.00 range.
