I know, but on the other hand, it might work out. I see - on the cap, not those poor tortured fishies - both good and bad points, pros and cons. I'm not sure if it's the way I would have done things, and certainly not the time at which I would have, but I do understand the choice.

I'm all for a game cap to reduce botting. But will lowering it guarantee that people post more in the forums? I think I tend to post just as much and I appreciate the gold for posting being raised as well but my habits aren't greatly changed save for the fact that now my head bumps into a ceiling each day on the games where it didn't before... and especially when I'm questing, saving up for an event, trying to meet a certain tangible goal... it can be a bit frustrating.

Problem I see? Those that are here mostly for the games will keep playing those games - if you're not here for the avatars or the community, why does it matter if it gives you gold? Those that already post a lot hardly will post even more because the cap has been lowered. Most of us/them rare have the time to max the games - I'm likely an exception rather than the rule - or don't care much about it. The gold gained by posting has been increased, so I doubt the total amount of gold flowing into the community gets much lower, at least not without the introduction of more so-called "gold-sinks", so it will hardly help against inflation, except if those relying on games for a lot start donating more than they did before, seeking a new way to gain "easy" gold, in which case the market will likely overflow with recent CIs. Which on the one hand might lower the prices on the newer items, but with more sellers, said sellers will suddenly get more gold than they did perhaps have access to before, in which case they're likely to go hunting for the more expensive or older items. More people hunting after those items while there is not and will never be an influx in the total of amount of those, means those prices will go up, which in turn may kick the whole market back into inflation again...
I think only those that are actively questing or have a different reason for needing a lot of gold - frequent art buyers, contest/charity hosts - without access to donating or only capable of donating a little each month, enough to get one or two sets but not enough to fund their need for gold and who previously relied at least partially on gaming to get the gold needed may start to post more.

Okay, I think I followed that paragraph explaination.

The game cap being lowered wont affect me that often. I think I had only ever reached the 500 limit three times before. And so far I have not reached the new limit even. I just do not play the games that often.

I usually do max out if I have a bit of time online, but partially that's habit, something to do when there's no one around to chat with, partially to fund my charity and my everlasting quests for both myself and my friends. Back when the cap was 500, I did not max out on all three accounts - main, mule, charity mule - that often, even if I managed once in a while, but maxing out on two accounts, yeah, most of the time.
It does effect me, but not a lot, since quite a bit of my funds come from CI selling, collecting several EI sets at events and selling those later, donations from others and quite the bit of posting. For example, I considered yesterday a relatively slow day, because I had logged on relatively late and had to log off before the peak hours actually reached their peak, but I still managed to get in 54 posts or so.

54 posts huh. . . . .it probably takes me a week to do that :sweat:
Though I probably haven't even done that many in this last month becasue of how little I've been on and no one else being on when I was popping in.

Even when no one is around to talk to I still don't spend much time in the games. I will for awhile until I get bored with it and then I go read some online comics or watch some anime.

Ah, but if I don't talk and don't game, I no have funds... or at the least, not enough for a quest for all of Mene's rares, funding a charity, funding random donations here and there, random donations to friends as well as bigger donations to friends that take quests... like those Crowns I did for Clair in the past.

EDIT: 54 posts... is somewhat slow for me. I have an average of 30 posts per day on my profile. Calculate in that in the about 2.5 years I've been here, I have been on hiatus or otherwise unable to get online for at the least 8-9 months... Well, the actual average probably is 45 or such. Mule and charity mule excluded. xD

I am loving all the hair colors people are coming up with, it is making the outfits a lot more interesting :) I'm glad they came up with the idea.

I think it still takes me five to ten tries to get the hair the way I want it. Except for the simple brown I have right now ^_^

Recently? Can't remember a time longer than a few weeks, or fuck that, with a few rare exceptions, longer than a few days, when my life hasn't been hell or just a plain chaos for the past f'ing twelve years.

Aye. From those twelve years, I've been taunted or bullied nearly every year, even if I don't give a fuck about it anymore, it doesn't mean it isn't happening. During those twelve years, I've lost my grandfather, saw my father suffering through his father's death and end up in three burn-outs, I see my mother stressed out and struggling with everything life heaps on us, I see my grandmother suffering from Alzheimer and Parkinson. I see my grandfather unable to keep up with it all anymore. I see how my dad is slowly but certainly destroying myself, I made many mistakes which I still carry with me. I suffered from depression for nearly all of the past ten years, lost several good friends one way or another, to suicide, to prostitution, to manic-depression and borderline, to drugs. I see my sister making mistakes I made too and I wish so badly that I could protect her from the hurt. Every time I get back on my feet from the latest depression in which I sunk away, I barely have a few weeks, if that much, before the next hit comes in. I am losing control over my own life. I suffer from headaches and migraines nearly daily.

It's a bloody miracle I am still standing.
