English classes in my opinion mostly seemed to exist to serve the purpose of making reading dull. XP

And this is from someone who loves to read.

Clair: Ah, you're on a different schedule. Mine's due in September. I have to read The Great Gatsby and two other "AP quality books", then write a journal on each. Not too bad.

Well, I don't know if we're on a different schedual.
My teacher just decided that we would have an essay due in the middle of our summer vacation instead of having us pass it on the first day of school. We've been out of school less than a week for summer vacation.

@ Alaunt::
I'm reading "Snow Falling On Cedars". I'm on chapter 5, and already I'm pretty sure that the Reporter, Ishmael is some jealous freak who killed the fisher man and framed the Japanese American man, Kabou, so that he would be excuted or put in jail and Ishmael could marry Kabou's wife, Hatsue. It supposed to be a tragic romance master piece, but the thing is so sexual. I hate it. Sex and trees is the main two things in this book. It's annoying!

But honestly, I don't care about the essay!

Well that is an annoying time for the teacher to pick to have the paper due. 0.o

Hummm. They made a movie out of that book. I wonder if watching the movie would help you do well on the assignment.

I've been told the movie is really boring. *shrugs*
Not sure if that would help or not, seeing as that's all I've been told about.
Not whether the movie and the book are similar at all or not.
Maybe I'll be able to find a comparison of the two online and be able to make a decision from the review as to whether the movie would help. Thanks for the advice, Angel. :)

It is annoying.
July sucks. There is only one day in all of July that truely means something to me... well, two if I count the Fourth of July.

I don't normally hate books. Infact, I love them. I have 40-something other books to read for myself this summer. But when I don't like something, I usually make the fact known of how much I dislike it. I'm sorry to have hurt your feelings in any way.

I'm doing swell. About to pack the kids up in the car and go to an anime convention. I'm very excited! :D

Oh we had a blast as always! It was even more fun this month as the kids have had the chance to watch more anime with us so they were able to pick people's costumes out. They got sooo excited when someone cosplayed Full Metal Alchemist characters! It was also nice as it seemed like there were more kids this year. Last year it seemed like the age bracket was something like 16-24 year olds and it felt kind of like we were slightly out of place as there were not any kids or family units wandering about. I guess as more and more people start getting into anime, and hear about the convention the bigger it gets. It's exciting.

Tristan got another custom ID badge this year from the same lady who did last years badges. Pam didn't want one for whatever reason. We're going to hang it up with the other badges. We also picked up a couple other trinkets while we're there. I got a really cute plush Domo-kun bag which I absolutely adore. We then went and putzed around the mall, got our photos taken in a photobooth there (I've always wanted to do that!) and somehow managed to squeeze all four of us in a tiny little space! We then went out to dinner at the Olive Garden. It was a ton of fun, and surprisingly the kids absolutely loved dinner!

Just plain work, unfortunately. And then going to bed early because I'm absolutely exhausted.
