I learned this year about the differences between burns when we were studying the skin in human biology this year. x3

Suona 12-07-2009 11:07 PM

Oooh. Is that a fun class?

How who got what? O_o;;

Ouch. D:
But at least you didn't get any third degree burns. :3

And I was referring to how your friend with the tic-tac-toe scar got the scar in the first place. :3

Suona 12-07-2009 11:50 PM

Yeah, and it just happens sometimes, so it could have been much worse.
Glad they're getting a bit better.

lol I was the one with the burn, but it never scared.
I got it from leaning my shoulder against the small heater in our bathroom.

Arikana 12-08-2009 12:13 AM

Mmm.. I keep checking my second degree burn, hoping it's faded.. but it's still there.. D:
I wish it'd fade already.. XP

Oh, whoops. I knew that. lol
Ouch! D: But at least it wasn't something too hot.. at least I don't think heaters classify as part of the "too hot" category. XP

Suona 12-08-2009 12:16 AM

The scar?

lol It actually was a pretty painful burn, especially in being on my shoulder. My backpack was always hitting it. I'd never been burned by that heater before, so it was oddly hot that time. Was a funny burn though.

Arikana 12-08-2009 12:23 AM

I'm trying to figure out what my strangest burn has been.. or any injury for that matter.. owo;

Still, what an interesting conversation this has been so far! XD;

Suona 12-08-2009 12:30 AM

lol I'm not sure what mine would be
Possibly that burn

Haha. Very true!

BellyButton 12-08-2009 01:11 AM

When I was very little I burned the palm of my hand on our electric stove.. I think I touched it because red was pretty. I had this lovely swirl blister that went from the center of my hand to my fingertips.. ouch.

sadrain 12-08-2009 01:20 AM

Ouch indeed. Dx

Arikana 12-08-2009 01:47 AM

@Suona:
Hopefully it'll disappear.. cause I doubt you'll wanna keep it there for forever.. D:

Indeed, it is! So what kind of other injuries have your ever had happen to you before? O:

@BellyButton:
That actually sounds really cool.. the mark it left on your hand, I mean, not the injury itself, of course. :3

@ Belly - That sounds very painful

@ Arikana - I agree. I'm not a fan of scars, so I would prefer they just heal easily. :<

Hmm. I actually don't get hurt too often. I get hurt in little ways, but i've never broken a bone or really damaged something. I don't tend to bruise that easily. I get scratches all the time, though. Mainly from my rat (he has really sharp claws and like to run around)

How about you?

sadrain 12-08-2009 01:54 PM

My big injueries... Well, I have broken and disolcated my shoulder all at once, when I was 6 or something like that. First day on the garden, falling from the very top of climbing ledders. x.x
Thenm, my left hand pointing and middle fingers were both nail-less and kind of broken, if I recall, for a while, after a classmate hit heavy doors closed on them... My pointing fingers nail never grew normally again and for three years, it was hard to move it normally, as nerve was damaged... I still avoid using it. x.x
And then, my left legs ankle was bleeding for nealry all summer about 4 years ago... I injured it, falling from bike... And then agin. And again, with slipping on journals that I ahd all dumped on my rooms floor to sort out. XDD It was really deep wound and I still have spot of that.
And thats all injuries I can think of right now. x.x
I know I got burned once, pretty badly, when I was kid, but I was too little to remember. XD

Arikana 12-08-2009 04:39 PM

@Suona:
Yeah, I'd love for my injuries to be able to heal quickly as well.. but I doubt that'll ever happen. :(

Well, I tend to get injured easily, which is why I also tend to call myself the "queen of injuries" XD ..though my injuries are usually either really minor to nothing at all.. and range from simple paper cuts (that I usually don't get from paper XD) to walking into things XP
I'm kinda a clutz, so I guess injuries are to be expected.. and I usually have a TON of bruises cause I kinda bruise easily.. well, as long as some force was applied when I acquired my bruise. XP Overall, I could careless about my injuries.. cause most of them don't hurt.. that's probably why I don't know about a third of my injuries till a few days after I got them cause I don't feel them right away. XP

I'm pretty sure I haven't broken any bones either.. though, I wouldn't mind experiencing that one day.. just for the experience. :3;; Though, I'd want the break to be for something minor.. like a finger or thumb. :3

sadrain 12-08-2009 06:18 PM

Lol, I getthat sort of injuries easily, too. XD At least bump with head into something. x3

Thats reallu not nice feeling -getting osmething broken. Believe me! D:

Arikana 12-09-2009 12:55 AM

I'd still want to have at least one broken bone to see what it's like.. but like I said, of either my finger or thumb instead of somewhere more serious. :3

I walk into things all the time.. D:

sadrain 12-09-2009 01:21 PM

x.x I don't know why you would want that, its really nothing besides the fact you can't move it and that every now and then it hurts. AND AFTER YEARS YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MOVING IT WITHOUT PAIN EVERY NOW AND THEN. Nothing much to experience, really. Disloacating has more to experience, then.

Yeah, I try to watch out but it doesn't help. >.<

Arikana 12-09-2009 11:23 PM

Umm.. why wouldn't I be able to move if I had a broken finger or thumb? owo;

I tried to try watching out for myself, but it doesn't help.. so I just screwed it and hope that I'll be lucky to not hit anything.. XD;
That, and my brain gets distracted easily and doesn't really pay attention to where I'm going. XD;

sadrain 12-10-2009 01:18 AM

Because it would be put in plaster so the bones wouldn't move and grow together correctly. Or else it could gorw together crookedly and all that nasty stuff. x.x

Yeah, same here. XD Especially when I am talking, I tend to trip. XDD WHen I was smaller, I really was the tripping queen. XDD Fell every time I was out of the house, at least twice. XDD Now I have learned to balance my self better, even if I trip. ;;>.>

Arikana 12-10-2009 02:14 AM

Ari won't care. She still wouldn't mind trying it out. X3;

sadrain 12-10-2009 04:37 AM

XD I would gladly give you my broken and dislocated shoulder as well memories of what I went trough. XD If only I could.

haha. Interesting accidents.
I remember once for one of my birthdays when I was younger, we were having a party at a skating rink a few towns over (always use to have my parties there. lol) and I was skating around, and some lady flew by and knocked me down, and I fell with my hands on the floor, but my feet kept rolling and rolled right over my hand and the wheel stopped on my pinky and I had all my weight on my legs. That was so painful. Pinky swelled up all huge and was black and blue, didn't break, though. The knuckle is bigger now, though.

Doesn't that just suck?
Silly wounds

I run into stuff all the time! I've turned around and run straight into the wall before. And walked right into a door that I had just opened. I get cuts all the time, too. I constantly hurt myself on such the weirdest things. Today I pricked my finger on some kind of odd tool in the garage while I set down a can. Ooh, I know what you mean. Have you ever noticed how those tiny little cuts hurt so much more than the huge cuts?

Eew. I never want to break a bone
I'm sure its extremely painful, and from what I can tell, it continues to give you trouble forever

sadrain 12-10-2009 06:56 AM

Ouchiness, SUona. x.x That must have been rpetty horrible. DD*

OMG YES, those small cuts and scrathes that sometimes don't even bleed so much are worse than big cuts. They are bad only when they itch but thats about it. x.x And, runniing into doors is really easy. XDDD For me at least. =P

Exactly, Suona! D8 Broken bones= ew. ._.;
