I haven't read that series yet. I kinda feel like I should, though.

The series is pretty decent, depending on your tastes.

It's a bit dramatic and in some places, the writing style is just a bit over-done to stress how beautiful someone is and how much one is loved and how deeply one is in pain and all that. But if you're looking for that sort of thing, you'll enjoy the hell out of it. XD

I enjoyed it, but I like melodrama. XD

I did, however, want to absolutely strangle the author with what she did at the end of book three. However, that was just my taste. I had been very proud of her for not writing into a certain cliche, and then she went ahead and did it anyway. Haven't read book four yet, though. I will sometime by the end of this year, I think.

Those books are pretty popular right now huh? Melodrama isn't really my thing so I probably won't read them.. but I've been hearing about those books left and right lately. :lol:

Hmmm, not so fond of melodrama. But I suppose if I start reading them with that fact in mind, I'd enjoy it a lot more than if I tried to take it seriously.

I've heard that the fourth book is really bad. But I can't say firsthand whether it is or not. I like the cover, though.

It would be a bit like me saying, "I think fried ice cream+cinnamon flavored ice cream is great if I'm in the mood for it, otherwise I would much rather have plain chocolate." And then someone takes offense because fried icecream+cinnamon flavored ice cream is their absolute favorite and they'd eat it morning, noon, and night if they could. I hadn't said it was a bad flavor, it's just not necessarily something I'd want all the time and some people would love never. XD And I could do with a bit less cinnamon than usually comes on it. XD

Eroy - you're probably hearing about it a lot lately because the "long"-awaited fourth book in the series was published within the last two months or so. XD And the movie based on the first book is coming out soon. (And, from all accounts I've heard so far, the fans are outraged at the casting.)

If you hate Jacob, you'll love him slightly in the forth. He doesn't come between Bella and Edward.

CK ~ Yep.. that's probably IS why I've heard so much about it lately. XD I saw in interview with the lady who wrote the books on Dateline, or 20/20 or some show I never watch. She seemed like a nice lady at least. It annoyed me though because the interviewer kept focusing on the fact that she's Mormon, which I don't see what that has anything to do with her writing :roll: Shit like that in interviews annoys me.

That is a rather stupid way to interview someone. I don't see how her religion comes into play at all in the series, so it's not really a valid line of questioning, I don't think. It wouldn't be like (post-humorously) interviewing C.S. Lewis and his views on Christianity in regards to his Narnia Chronicles or anything. u_u;

Also - up-thread.... Yeah, I hate it when I accidentally click the back button or something and lose a post. Especially if it's a long post. x_x; Especially-especially if I had a good joke or word-picture to illustrate a point in it... because most of the time I can't remember the turns of phrase that made the joke funny or the sarcasm the most cleverly biting or the word-picture illustrate my point the best. x_x;

Re Interview: I know, it was really odd. They weren't exactly asking her questions about being a mormon but they would introduce her as "The mormon who wrote these vampire books" It was really bizarre.
