I use wordcounttool.com or the one on Microsoft Word. If one of them hits 100 exactly, then I accept it. What do you use? Or do you count them by hand?

I just type 'free word counter' in to google, and use the first one that comes up(some times it's different). But now I'll use wordcounttool.com because it's in my favs now.

Title: Like a Swan

Drabble:

“I think I’d be a swan.” said the girl, glancing towards the boy sitting beside her. “They are beautiful, graceful, and quite regal.”

The boy snorted lightly.

“What? You don’t think I’m like a swan?” she questioned indigently.

Smirking slightly, he responded, “Naw, I think you’re exactly like a swan. You know they are mean and quite violent right? Drown people...”

Gasping, the girl hit him upside the head.

“See, what’d I say. Violent.”

“Jeerremmy!!!” she then crooned, “Did you just give me a compliment? You didn’t deny I was beautiful…”

“Uh… Crap… I wish you were a mute swan.”

u-uh hi :wee Well, Character A is screwed in the head and suffering from more Lima Syndrome than I thought, Character B is his lovely terrified captive swan P: YAY OBSESSION/LUST...WHATEVER THIS IS. Liked it better when it wasn't cut but it's alright I guess.

Drabble:

She has a long, slender white neck, and her eyes are round and deep and black and bitter. He doubts he could explain her allure to another. It’s become personal. Like a nostalgic photograph, so beautifully mundane. He catches her hands, with fascination for every ragged nail, every purple scar criss-crossing at the bend of her elbow.

He brushes her downy cheek; there’s nothing more graceful than that quirk of a snarl on her lips. She speaks in a hiss, he shushes her with one finger. He wants to keep her, keep her quiet, for as long as he can.

It's weird how poetic he gets when I write from his perspective, actually. Wouldn't expect it of him! But somehow his voice is really well-suited to lyrical short stuff? Dunno. Crazy guy, man. Crazy guy.

If the crooning over his torture/abuse victim wasn't indication enough of that. I...really don't know what to call that emotion.

It is sheer douchbagery. But we don't really need to differentiate the two anymore. At least I don't feel so bad about Al's drabble for Sport anymore.

Don't worry, we all have those drabbles tucked away that we're a liiittle frightened of P: Now I really want to write an Atticus one and that probably isn't going to help with the creepy. I did put a nice wholesome Amanda!Angst drabble between the two, though, so. Good to know my head isn't entirely populated with creepers.

Oh yeah like Amanda isn't messed up. She might not be a creeper but she is THE MOST VIOLENT PERSON EVER. What's she angsting about?

Yeah. That's when you know something is wrong-- when Amanda is the most stable person you've written about lately T^^T Actually Atticus is probably way more stable than Amanda. His brand of unstable is just more INSIDIOUS

SHE IS ANGSTING ABOUT after Megaton, basically. Which is when she first thought, "damn, I am not a very good person." Which is a thought that has haunted her a little ever since.

She doesn't really...hide her insecurities. Just turns them into unhealthy rage. But they're there!

I guess at least that IS something Moses can brag about. He's not a sociopath or generally psychotic, and considering our track record of characters that is saying something.
I think Zeph is probably the most stable, as distant as he is.

Drabble:
He clenched the necklace in his hand, closing his eyes, remembering his mother. How her golden eyes twinkled. How she loved wearing her fur. How he would curl up into that fur.

His grip tightened, the necklace biting into soft flesh.

He remembered when his father gave him this trinket, the day his mother died. Was murdered while out for her monthly run. He practically howled in sorrow, picturing her broken body, stripped of its soft fur, a silver bullet embedded in her breast. All that the murderer left him was on the necklace around his neck.

His mother’s fangs.

Biting, tearing, ripping. Blood dripping down from strong, fierce jaws. The joy of the hunt. Overpowering and conquering prey. Always winning, forever surviving.

Nothing could take this away from me. Nothing that is, until they came.

Piercing pain shot through me as I fell. Snarling savagely, I looked up into the face of the hairless pup that dared wound me. I snapped, fresh blood leaking down my glistening jaws. The pup cried out at the wound, baring his teeth in pain.

His hand rose. I whimpered, defeated. How could I fall prey to this hairless whelp? He has no fangs.
