I don't know most of them personally.
A friend of mine had it - caught it from her sister. Half that family was ill. No one died, gladly. That friend has asthma however, so then catching a flu is not a good thing. It never is, but then it's even worse.
The father of a classmate of mine has had it too. Don't know him personally, though.
