Well it's a bit of a tale. I only Math Logic, or Math for Liberal Arts, as part of my major in Journalism. I'm taking the first part now, and if anything more I might need the second half. So far - if I'm reading right- I only need one college level Math, in all the uni's I'm looking at in my list.

Buuuttt because college is the business that it is, everyone has to do placement tests for Math and English if they didn't score high enough on SAT's to skip it. So I did for Math and didn't score high enough to go straight into Logic. Why the heck I need to test anyway, again, is ridiculous. I took all that algebra in high school, and now money is being spent for me to...oh gee, take it AGAIN! Sick system. Imagine how much cheaper it would be if they got off their "well-rounded" speech (AS IF we couldn't possibly be, without spending a butt load of money first) and just let us take what we NEED towards our career...

So ja, the algebras are developmental courses, which means, they don't count as credit and don't affect my GPA. Don't get me wrong, some people need to do those, but for Logic, though it has plenty of algebra, I'd have been just fine. I can see that now. Now, I didn't do so well in alg. 2 in the spring, so I'm redoing it now. And, I'll be transferring soon, but I wanted to get Logic in before I leave, so I decided to do both this semester. (I'm behind schedule in Math technically).
This wasn't at all bright, simply because it's very inconvenient to be studying and trying to do homework for both - even though Logic is, not so bad. I rather like it, and that's saying a lot for me. xD

Gosh, I feel like such a whiner. I'm not a fan of money, I wish people would realize it's only worth something because their government said so. If everyone decided one day "to hell, let's barter"...the rich and the politicians (the rancid ones) would crap themselves. We ought to be taking care of each other on this dang planet!

You know I'm torn what to quest next. So many things on that 3-4k range I could go for. Not sure which one would make the most sense.

Emma, yes, it was, I warned you xD hehe. I have an idea on what would make it better for everyone in the U.S. but..it's just not going to happen without being on metric. And since we're too.. UGH to switch...let me stop. No one cares, and I shouldn't bother getting myself worked up.

I don't know what you want to major in, but be thinking on it, and even if you have a lot of mathematics, approach it gladly. Math is a mindset, not just rules, and too many people think they can't do it, just because they don't get it on the first go. If that's you, break those thoughts! <33
