I'm bored. Nothing much to do when the State's in emergency and a possible coup de etat. Other than rejoice for there not being school tomorrow. Though, not so much, as I was going to have exams and a bunch of other things :X

I skipped class last Thursday.... I was supposed to go to lab too... but everything was just eating me alive... I was pretty sure even if I went I wouldn't have been able to do anything right. Would probably have accidentally mixed the wrong things and made the room go asplode... it WAS chem lab after all.

Hey there ladies and gents, sorry ive been away so much of late. Work has been fairly hectic and ive recently got myself a new computer which im getting up to speed, its taking a while because im transferring from the dinosrawr computer i was using.
3ish hrs to transfer my music FROM my old PC to the new portable HDD... time to transfer to the new PC from portable HDD? 35MINS! |
Wow... that sucks assassin... you should look into getting a firewire connection. If both your new comp and your external HDD have a slot for it. *nods*

lawl assassin, your actually lucky.....to get Sora's pictures and music into his labtop, it took him......nearly 2 HOURS! XP

Oh dude, thats just my MUSIC that took that long, my movies took 3 attempts because the old computer crapped out part way through the long transfers so i ended up doing it in smaller chunks. Ive still gotta get all my pictures on there yet too!

This is why I'm happy I have everything I really want to keep already backed up... well I'm planning on getting a 2nd external HDD in case the one I have craps out (I've had it for a few years now.) but once I do that I'll have it backed up in 2 places.

Could always be like a mate of mine that moved to another state here recently. He had hard copy back ups in dual, plus RAID systems on his PC incase one drive went down he still wouldnt loose everything, he also made online back ups, AND offsite backups to a remote server at his destination!

LOL that reminded me of a friend whose pendrive refused to work, and he tried to talk it into working again by noting the copious amounts of all the porn you could ever and never imagine, from the most common to the most devious practices... a couple of days after that it worked, but my mind had already been marked forever :shock:

Yes, the friend i mentioned earlier is a software developer, works for some fairly serious companies etc, so i imagine he has not only quite sensitive information available to him, but also important code on hand too that could be devestating to lose.

Yes, i are stil awake. been up all night unfortunately and i leave for work in 30mins. Sucks working late on a saturday night and then sleeping all day sunday. i slept for a good 12hrs at least i think on sunday! (5am-5pm) been awake since then and its now nearly 7am monday morning. i wont get home till probably 6pm-ish and then ill be sleeping soundly methinks!
