Exactly. xD
|
xD I want to broaden my horizons, so to speak, but not quite THAT far.
|
That is understandable. I do not even see how that can be considered food. Frog legs I just barely understand...would never eat them though xD |
I would put the frog legs on the same level as the snails. o__o
|
I have my reasoning.
See...I believe way back when a group of people tried to pull a prank on someone. So they told this person that they made the best asparagus EVER. And then were cruel to a frog and cooked its legs and served it to this person. And somehow, the person thought it was delicious, and the group was dumbfounded, because the prank failed. So they had to try it. And somehow it led to being a delicacy. xD Doesn't change it is disgusting though xD |
Okay. As far as how the food in question was even created... I have no excuse for snails. XD
|
I made up that excuse when I was younger to block out the queasy feeling I had when my aunt ordered frogs legs when I was little so I could enjoy my meal. xD
I also have no excuse for snails. And luckily I have not had the experience of someone ordering it in front of me. xD |
o__o; Oh dear. Haha. None of my family or friends has ever gone somewhere that serves that kind of delicacy.
... That's. A delicacy. /orz |
xD there was only one place around here that I can think of, but i think it closed.
A lot of southern food is heavily french inspired. And this place was real "down south" cooking. Actually had really good food. But that was just disgusting xD |
xD My family doesn't eat out much in general, so we don't know if any such place exists near us.
|
We eat in at least 5 times a week. Typicially we only eat out on Saturday.
But we usually try new places. So we know a lot of what our town has to offer. |
Lol. I don't think we can afford to eat out twice a week. o__o!
|
xD usually we only eat out once. Sometimes twice. Just depends on how busy the week is.
o.o;; really? Most of my friends eat out 5-6 days a week, or eat frozen dinners if they have too. Not many people around here seem to have family dinners anymore. :/ And this is the restaurant I was talking about. Haven't eaten here in ages: OldMacFishCamp Restaurant & Dining |
I always eat at home. I don't really go out very much. xD
A seafood place? There were snails there? |
No! Frog legs. xD
It is more along the lines of a country and seafood place. I only just started getting out a lot xD |
Oh. That makes more sense... Though I never thought of frogs as sea food before, I guess it would work. O__O;;
|
Hehe. Well. It is more country than anything. Good ol'southern eats.
They even have fried gator. Now do not get on to me about that. It honestly is delicious. xD |
... Fried gator? You've EATEN fried gator? Hell you've SEEN fired gator!? /freaks out
|
YESH!!! And it isn't like they serve it to you in recognizable form. In fact, the first time I saw it I thought it was clam strips. And I asked my mom if I could have some (since those I really do love) and she did not tell me what it was and OMG~! DELICIOUS! >.<
Don't diss it until you try it. |
... Well. I guess it would eat you if you'd give it the chance. *shot*
|
Did i mention GA has a lot of aligators? xD
So yes. xD |
XD Oh my goodness. That sounds terrifying.
|
Not really. xD
I have never seen a live one up close. xD I just know we have them. Apparrantly GA is very swampy. I have never seen the terrain from a plain before, but that is what my sister and airforce buddy said. xD |
xD That sounds terrible. I would be terrified!
|
xD I don't live next to a swamp. xD
