Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 04:23 AM

Exactly. xD

Dystopia 08-28-2010 04:25 AM

xD I want to broaden my horizons, so to speak, but not quite THAT far.

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 04:27 AM

That is understandable.
I do not even see how that can be considered food.
Frog legs I just barely understand...would never eat them though xD

Dystopia 08-28-2010 04:28 AM

I would put the frog legs on the same level as the snails. o__o

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 04:31 AM

I have my reasoning.
See...I believe way back when a group of people tried to pull a prank on someone.
So they told this person that they made the best asparagus EVER.
And then were cruel to a frog and cooked its legs and served it to this person.
And somehow, the person thought it was delicious, and the group was dumbfounded, because the prank failed.
So they had to try it.
And somehow it led to being a delicacy. xD
Doesn't change it is disgusting though xD

Dystopia 08-28-2010 04:33 AM

Okay. As far as how the food in question was even created... I have no excuse for snails. XD

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 04:35 AM

I made up that excuse when I was younger to block out the queasy feeling I had when my aunt ordered frogs legs when I was little so I could enjoy my meal. xD

I also have no excuse for snails. And luckily I have not had the experience of someone ordering it in front of me. xD

Dystopia 08-28-2010 04:36 AM

o__o; Oh dear. Haha. None of my family or friends has ever gone somewhere that serves that kind of delicacy.

... That's. A delicacy. /orz

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 04:46 AM

xD there was only one place around here that I can think of, but i think it closed.
A lot of southern food is heavily french inspired.
And this place was real "down south" cooking.
Actually had really good food.
But that was just disgusting xD

Dystopia 08-28-2010 04:48 AM

xD My family doesn't eat out much in general, so we don't know if any such place exists near us.

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 04:53 AM

We eat in at least 5 times a week. Typicially we only eat out on Saturday.
But we usually try new places. So we know a lot of what our town has to offer.

Dystopia 08-28-2010 04:55 AM

Lol. I don't think we can afford to eat out twice a week. o__o!

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 04:59 AM

xD usually we only eat out once. Sometimes twice. Just depends on how busy the week is.
o.o;; really? Most of my friends eat out 5-6 days a week, or eat frozen dinners if they have too. Not many people around here seem to have family dinners anymore. :/

And this is the restaurant I was talking about. Haven't eaten here in ages:
OldMacFishCamp Restaurant & Dining

Dystopia 08-28-2010 05:03 AM

I always eat at home. I don't really go out very much. xD

A seafood place? There were snails there?

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 05:04 AM

No! Frog legs. xD
It is more along the lines of a country and seafood place.

I only just started getting out a lot xD

Dystopia 08-28-2010 05:07 AM

Oh. That makes more sense... Though I never thought of frogs as sea food before, I guess it would work. O__O;;

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 05:10 AM

Hehe. Well. It is more country than anything. Good ol'southern eats.
They even have fried gator.
Now do not get on to me about that.
It honestly is delicious. xD

Dystopia 08-28-2010 05:11 AM

... Fried gator? You've EATEN fried gator? Hell you've SEEN fired gator!? /freaks out

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 05:16 AM

YESH!!! And it isn't like they serve it to you in recognizable form. In fact, the first time I saw it I thought it was clam strips. And I asked my mom if I could have some (since those I really do love) and she did not tell me what it was and OMG~! DELICIOUS! >.<
Don't diss it until you try it.

Dystopia 08-28-2010 05:21 AM

... Well. I guess it would eat you if you'd give it the chance. *shot*

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 05:23 AM

Did i mention GA has a lot of aligators? xD
So yes. xD

Dystopia 08-28-2010 05:24 AM

XD Oh my goodness. That sounds terrifying.

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 05:26 AM

Not really. xD
I have never seen a live one up close. xD I just know we have them. Apparrantly GA is very swampy. I have never seen the terrain from a plain before, but that is what my sister and airforce buddy said. xD

Dystopia 08-28-2010 05:28 AM

xD That sounds terrible. I would be terrified!

Winterwolfgoddess 08-28-2010 05:30 AM

xD I don't live next to a swamp. xD
