My mom got called back for her second interview for the walmart distribution center, then they told her she was "overqualified" for the position.

How can you be over qualified? o.O

I don't know, but thats what they told her. It was actually on her third interview. She had one interview, they called her in for the second, then told her a third person would call her in to discuss her position, and when she went in, they told her she was overqualified.

@ The Whitewolf Shaman- That sounds confusing to me too. :S Wal-Mart is confusing in general. I hope I don't have to work there. :S

Well, if you're overqualified they have to pay you more. They're just stingy.

I probably won't be working in a supermarket for prolonged periods of time. In January I'm hoping to get a job that will last me for two years until I toddle off to Uni.

I've been at Taco Bell for a year in November, unfortunately, the only jobs in my area are fast food, restaurants, or retail stores because its a tourist town. I could work at one of the amusement parks or other recreational stops, but they are seasonal work.

For what I want to do I'm going to have to move out of my area, I live in a really small town...xD

The only thing I dislike about my area is the jobs. I love living in the mountains.

Sims3 World Adventure pack. I've had it for a while and never really played the Adventure part.. but I've got a saved game running where putting in a hidden puzzle room would fit right in with the story, and I've never tried it... recipe for MUST TRY. XD

i haven't played sims 3 yet... i still really like sims 2 so i haven't bought the newest... it's better?

Hm... I haven't really decided if it's better or not. There are some serious pros and cons to both games. There are a lot of upgrades to 3. The graphics are nicer, the open play world is amazing, and I like that sim creation is more detailed. I can make actually FAT sims now. Yay realism!! But... they took away a lot of the user creation openings. It took more than a YEAR for people to figure out how to add their own user created furniture to the game, and it's a real pain to make and add your own fabric patterns. But it IS nice that you can make every wall, floor, and furniture surface match with a couple of clicks. Recolors are a thing of the past.

But I spent all that money on 3, so I'm going to stick with it for a while. Worst case, I've got my crate full of Sims2 stuff sitting in a closet for reinstall if I decide I should just go back to a game I can make stuff for.

oh wow, that sounds pretty cool though, jezriel... i might have to try it when i tire of sims 2... i still have all the first sims games and expansion packs too hahaha... my whole family loved that game

And yeah, totally addicting. I'm still under 500 gold from my last purchase, even though it's been a week... all because I haven't bothered playing fangirls every day - I'd rather be playing Sims!

My mom was over the other day and sat down to watch me play it for a while. She hasn't played much Sims since 1. I have a feeling she's going to ask to 'borrow' my base game disk some time soon.

i go through phases, i'll play sims every waking minute for like two months, then i'll do nothing but read for a month and then i'll be on the internet for a month or two... i have a very obsessive personality lol i can't do a little of everything

This month has been an 'on' month for simming for me. I'd pretty much ignored it many many months prior. I'd just gotten bored, had not real goals or aims in my game, so stopped playing. But I still visit MTS and a few other sites every once in a while to see what's going on. Accidentally found a few interesting 'Challenge' themes, and decided I wanted to try one. It's really revitalized how I play the game, I'm both happy and guilty. I now play when I shoudl be doing other things. Like the dishes...

Wolfie had to go afk for a few, but I'm back.
