Yes!! I seem to remember Mene being a lot more active when I first joined back in 2008 or whenever. I miss that. :(

Yea :D Makes it easy on me, I don't have any -real- contest or being choose-y with donations. And it makes it easy for everyone who participates, since all you have to do is post at least once in that week :heart:

My bf has been watching Dilbert all day. I don't know how to react to this.

Yeah. Same here. Anyone that would have liked forums signed up and stopped. The rest of my friends are the type to come avatar forums. Though most of them seem to like kidnapping my avi and dressing it up. >>

Hahaha. My friends all fall into the following three catagories: (a) never play computer games whatsoever, (b) only play Wow, or (c) only play CoD. None of the "avatar community" types, really.

I logged in today, for the first time in months, and saw that storybook/library/whateverit'scalled item they came out with, and was SOOOO tempted to buy it, because it had a Pride and Prejudice theme. But then I thought, WHY am I gonna waste my money on a CI (or whatever they call it there) that I'm not even gonna be given all the possible poses?? Gaia is cheap and they just wanna make money off EVERYTHING. And I'm too much of a poor college student to be spending so much on that money-hungry monster of a site. At least with Mene, I don't mind contributing every month because I have a deep connection with this site and the people, it's more personal, and I feel like the site deserves to be given our financial support, and I have lots of friends here, and I've invested a lot of time here, etc. And if Mene had made a classic literature CI, they wouldn't have made you buy eight of them JUSt to get all the poses. :talk2hand:

I still love Gaia.
I'm just irked that I have two friends who work at gamestop, and neither of them can be assed to swing me by or take my money, and pick me up a gaia cash card. ; o;

Agreed! That was the one thing I don't like Gaia's CIs, is the lack of ability to be able to equip everything at once. ><

I just feel like Gaia, Facebook, and a lot of other sites are become too money-centered to the point where it's ridiculous.. Okay, not facebook just yet (I mean, seriously, who PLAYS farmville??) but I can definitely see facebook is going down that road. And Mene is still more about community than about money, and I like that. The other sites are all just.... selling out. For lack of a better term. And that's what I find the most irksome.

The chance items only give you a chance of getting a certain item. :B
So, there's a chance you wouldn't get that item at all. Kindof like a pink box.

I do like the new rapid EIs though.
I do not like the latest pose of the antique shop however.
I respect DrinkyTengu as an artist, but when they let her do whatever she wants, I can't stand her stuff. :sweat: It's just, bleh to me. :(

Which makes me feel bad, but I guess we just have different taste.
I'd make cutesy, goth and steampunk items myself. :lol:

One thing I love about Gaia is how they can make items of famous TV shows, movies, etc. I mean, they have a TARDIS BACKGROUND. A FREAKIN' TARDIS BACKGROUND. Do you have any idea how happy it would make me if I could somehow zap that item into my Menewsha avvie right now? XD

I hope I get this job at Walmart so I can buy more stuff on Mene. Love the pretty pixels here :heart:

Also, I need to get some green bottoms but I can't think of something D: Something a little more than panties, but not pants.
