I have very dark hair, so I have to bleach the heavens out of it before I color it. My pink always turns orange, then it's redye time!

I bleached my hair once.
It turned out leopard print because it wasn't done right.
So I had to pay to get it fixed.
I was going to add pretty colors to it.
But I never went and bought the colors.

It was gonna' have brown/blue kind of like this lady's:

But with only brown and blue in it.

I don't think I could pull it off anymore, though. :P

----------

Also, my hair that long is so heavy it has no volume. xD It's just a sheet of straight hair.

I hate to tell you - but that's not that girls real hair. Those are extensions! And Hair falls. I love hair falls.

I've always had good luck with bleaching my hair. The only time it's ever not been done right is when I had it done professionally and they didn't leave it in long enough. My hair was orange. *ug* When I did it at home, or had a friend do it it always came out better.

I killed my hair bleaching it. It took ages to grow the damage out. You have to be really careful with it.

----------

Probably not. Dye on dye isn't generally advisable if they aren't similar colors...or moving to a darker color.

You can get your hair striped. (Did I spell that right?) Depending on how long you want to keep the black hair, you can use a product that will mostly wash out so you don't have to kill your hair afterwards.

I believe stripping is different than bleaching.

But honestly... everyone's hair is different. <3

It's my Monster of Love! <3 I'm still kinda working on it, but it's not to bad I think.

I am rather digging yours, I love it when people use orange fantastically. <3

Well, Faux, the person who I originally got the idea from had extremely SHORT hair. Like maybe five inches. It was so freaking cute. I saw it in a music video. xD
So I doubt hers were extensions. That was just kind of an example of what I had planned.

I wouldn't bleach my hair again.
But I am going to dye it soon.

hahaha monster of love! very clever! :squee: and thank you, faux! i am a lover of orange so i love to use it when i can  i feel like it is a very under used color by the masses... sadly :(

i have been trying to grow out my hair to see what my natural color is cause it has been over ten years since the last time i had a head of natural hair lol... but now i'm getting premature grays!! :gonk: so sad... although a neat silver looking color might not be so bad!

I just cut my hair again.
And I don't really like it.
If it styles properly tomorrow, I'll take pictures.

I use to keep it long but then I just got tired of it.
Soon as it's long enough to go into a ponytail, that's where it stays.

I want to grow it out though and do a nifty cut. I just get tired of it after a certain length.

Stripping is when you take artificial color out of your hair to return it (closer) to your natural color. Bleaching is when you take ALL the color out of your hair, resulting in something lighter than your natural color. At least that is what I was led to believe.

Bleach over dye=some very odd colors. Like orange, yellow, or green (from black, green is pretty likely, or you might get gray, or blue). Not a good idea usually. If you want stripes or highlights you can do it but for your whole head, you will most likely kill your hair getting the dye out. I went from dark red to blonde....or should I say orange, which progressed to an easter egg yellow before I finally gave up on it because my hair had gotten so brittle it was awful. My "blonde" phase lasted about a month before I dyed it blue-black which looked way better on me. I still like red best though. I'd like to go for a fire engine red but my hubby doesn't like redheads much. Bad memories of his ex-wife I think. *shrugs* He's okay with any other color though. Someday I'll finally break down and go purple but for now I'm on the wagon. lol. I've been clean and free of hair altering chemicals for at least four years. ^_^'

I have a serious question. . . how much younger does someone have to be from you to make it creepy? :/

I'd say 10 years or more - although I do rather believe age ain't nothing but a number... I just don't know that a teenage is ready to be in a relationship with a middle aged person. I think they would just be at different points in their lives. But who knows - stranger things have happened. I'm being serious by the way. And also - I'm older than my boyfriend. We've been together for almost five years now.

Problem is lately I've only been dating younger guys, things don't work out with the older guys. . . I guess because the older ones expect me doing "things" to them and the younger ones don't, well the ones I've been dating. . . they are really sweet!

I just seemed to get along with younger guys more. And I waited to 'do things' until I was good and ready - I think I was the only virgin I knew! Don't let anyone force or coerce you into doing anything you are not ready for. Just wait till your ready I say. I'm so glad I waited. <3

I'm waiting, besides I think it just isn't for me (I hate my body, so it's all good ;)
