You're right that it probably doesn't matter much to Google, but a lot of internet business are like that. They seem extraordinarily popular, but they only ever lose money. Because there's not a good business plan for the internet. If Gaia has figured out something that works, I figure good for them. I don't particularly want to be on their site, but they're doing much better than most internet businesses. |
Yeah for sure - what's popular may not translate into cash. ^^; Well, hopefully the people that bought Mene this time around are making enough that it's worth it for them to keep it going. I'd hate to see this site succumb to the issues you described that most other sites have come across.

The good news is, as the site is now, I doubt it costs very much to run. But if we want to grow, I'm sure the owner has to pay a professional coder, and as we do grow, we'll use more bandwith. We just have to balance that with people buying contribution items.

Well, I've opened up and bought some CI's to help out the site and to help fund some exchanging - hopefully more new people will consider purchasing CI's which will result in lower costs, a better site, and more money for them to work with as they start out. ^^

To save bandwidth as the site grows, we can put up a sign that says "No fat chicks" : P

I uh...well I was dealing with some issues with my dad but its okay now - sorta. >.> Still working things out a bit but now it's with my mother. -_-; Well I managed to get some Celes paradi done and didn't miss out on Tetris so that was good, and I did a TON of exchanging today. XD Also lots of playing tennis outside. Other than that, not much! |

I'm sorry to hear that you're having parental problems. Hope you sort things out soon. :hug: I have issues with my parents too, usually because we grew up in totally different environments and they don't know what being young here is like. ^^; XDD @ a ton of exchanging. Luckily there's no marketplace here so you can't go overboard with exchanging/vending. :lol: Remember to get your sleep!
