Well..
I dont know first hand. I know that the last one we evacuated from that did any damage (Hurricane Rita.) we stayed in exacuation mode for almost three months.
Some people say that the sound of trees breaking constantly sounds like a train. :S

Yes, we where evacuees to the state of arkansas, we had no home there, and where lucky to have found someone willing to let us use their cabin for free for two months :S

And my home school was out for a while, as well even after we did get to come home. It had the roof blown off of it.
and my house suffered a simple broken window. :]

I live in texas and got hit by hurricane Ike. It wasn't that bad, but it was worse than the other hurricanes because they didn't really reach us, just Louisiana. it was kinda pretty because the sky turned green from transformers blowing, but the damage wasn't that bad. most trees falling and a few roofs getting holes in them and the power going out.

I guess so. I've been through 2 I think. Rita didn't really hit, Katrina gave us a little rain, and Ike hit hard.

It's sunny, but if you're in San Diego or somewhere near a coast, it's basically 70s or 80s throughout the year.

that sounds pretty nice. it gets pretty hot down here. I've had to practice outside when its over 100 degrees.

It was a little scary, but I think I'm the wrong person to ask. I was pressed against a nearly wall sized window watching the storm until the worst of it hit so I think it was scary to OTHER people. I just enjoyed it.
