Honesty is really the best for some kids. Not all, though. We found that out the hard way. One of my cousins seems to take any honest dialog as a list of things he should go try. It boggles my mind.

Er no...I don't think she gets that idea. She's pretty level headed. She also knows full well it's something her mom can never know about. She knows that medical issues, how much dad makes, etc...just don't even go there with her mother. It sucks that we have to be so 'deceptive' like that, but first off I think not every mother would agree with my personal choices PLUS if you've heard any dialogue about the ex...you'd know she's pretty batshit crazy.

Yeah, anytime the ex is not an amicable part of the arrangement, silence is usually the best policy. I've never met someone quite as determined to get into trouble as my cousin, and Pam seems like a great kid, so I'm sure she's 100% the opposite of him.

Yeah she's always trying to stay out of it and make everyone happy...so I think we're OK.

Ugh...I'm not really all that motivated to work on this final part of the exam...!

Yeah I have a whole kitchen full...and I'm not too thrilled about that. I told Pam to please do the dishes, if nothing else...and she didn't. Both kids had all day to screw about, and a task that maybe would of taken an hour at the very most she didn't do. I didn't make a big fuss, but I want to say something to Aaron. He'll probably be like 'oh don't worry about it...I'll do them' but it's like when I've worked 24 of the last 48 hours (although all this test reading/taking is unpaid), and Aaron also working the past couple of days...You'd think it wasn't too much to ask.

I'll let it go as she did help this weekend with the major cleaning/rearranging project in the living room. I'm still annoyed.

Oh and I did finish the exam. Now apparently I must wait until Monday before I hear the final results. Fingers crossed. I think I did as they instructed, however I was going for speed and I may not of called certain things right. I am assuming though they are just wanting a feel for it and there shouldn't be a whole lot of really having to read it. Just making sure that it looks decent, comes from a reputable source and fits the search criteria.

We'll see...

A friend of mine was asking for more info on it. I gave her my lead, but I highly doubt she'd be able to pass the exam, let alone do the work. Speaking of which, the friend who told me about it here hasn't been on Mene in quite some time. Stinks as I really wish I could sit her down and ask questions on it. There's nothing but independently reading, deciphering, and then trying to apply it as best as you think they'd want. It'd be nice to get some input/feedback on it. That's one of the things that people bitch about though stating that there isn't much to be had, and when you do get feedback you have to take it in. If they feel like you're not they just lock you out of your account/bump you off the project. :/

Teenagers. They sometimes annoy the crap out of you no matter what.

Good luck, hon. I'm really pulling for you.

Thanks, Steel. :) Hopefully they're impressed that I powered through it within two days of it being assigned...either that or think I'm a total loser. I think I have a good feeling. I don't want to get my hopes up.

And yeah...Teenagers. Meh. Kinda wish we could fastforward some of this.

Woohoo! Oh jeez, I way overgarliced the soup I just made. It's like, the only flavor I can taste in it now, haha.

Garlic isn't a bad thing, persay...but if it's overpowering your dish....bleh.

Happy new year, Chi and Steel! :) I didn't even notice it had hit until I heard fireworks outside my house. Have had my nose in a book the entire time.

Happy New Year! (:

I'm at work this morning. My mother is still stuck with my sister and nephew, waiting to get them on a plane back to FL. Hopefully they get it sorted tonight. I guess tomorrow's storm won't be the foot of snow projected. Yay!

Happy 2014 everyone! Hope your day is going well. I actually feel pretty good today, though still tired. The tired is clearly going to stick around for a while.

Feeling pretty blah today. Woke up with a massive headache and body aches. Hoping I haven't caught something.

I'm off today. I was going to go in and do a couple hours...I think I'll hold off now. I'm not feeling very motivated.

Thanks. Thought I'd dress up a little more classy.

I'm also going through a pretty low mood this afternoon. Aaron is depressed and doesn't want to be around me, and I'm kind of in this overall feeling that no one really wants to be around me. I guess an edge of paranoia.

We're insured now...I may need to make a phone call and see if I can be seen soon. I guess medication is something I will need to consider. I'm not managing my moods well...

I've not had insurance for two years now, but I still pay for my antidepressant medication. I just can't manage to exist without it.

You must pay outrageous prices. :( Mine was over a $100 a month for generic without insurance...$250 for the real stuff. :(

I think Aaron is going to push for me to get back on it.

I forgot our new medical insurance kicks in today. I'm thankful Cole's surgery was on the old plan. It's better to miss out on almost two weeks' pay than to have like $4000 in deductibles. I'm not sure what my medication will cost on the new plan.

Izumi: Mine's not nearly that bad. If I order it a specific way, I can get three months for $15 at Walmart (but I have to order it as two 20mg pills a day, NOT 40mg a day). I don't like going to Walmart though, so I get it from Market Street for about $40 for three months. Not that bad at all. But you gotta shop around to find decent prices. I'm on Paxil, though, so it's easy to get.

Chi: I can't even afford the new insurance and Texas refused to extend Medicaid, so I'm without insurance for another year. Luckily, I'm exempt from the fine.

Maine didn't extend it either. I'm on Cole's insurance plan through his job because I legally have to take it or get a fee. But, I need something with all the junk going on, so... boo!

*shakes fist at stupid annoying states*
Yeah, my Dad had to pay nearly $400 for my doctor appointment and medications for the chronic bronchitis I had. There was no way I could have paid that. I just need to get my teaching certification and then I can get a job with benefits.

I hear you. I think the place I'll get a job at pays 90% of medical or something like that, so it should in theory reduce our monthly medical premiums by 40%. I really hope to hear back good news next month, so that I can apply to take my examination.

I had honestly, honestly figured October would have been the latest I would have been registered. I passed my CRC in October, finding the results out in November, but the NCE is taking forever. The next board meeting is the 27th this month. If they don't clear me this time, it'll likely be another three or so months of waiting. I initially applied in September. O_o;

That's just ridiculous. You shouldn't have to keep coming back and doing this. Your program should have set you up to breeze through with no problem. I can see that being so incredibly frustrating.
