hehe in the u.s., the terms "college" and "university" are actually interchangable XD there is a level of eduction that's higher than high school, but lower than college/university. it's called "junior college" XD; but when i was in canada, the term "college" is actually used to refer "junior college," while "university" would be for university level XDDD
i think european school system is quite similar to most asian school system. even though i'm indonesian, i went through most of my school years (from junior high @ grade 8 until university) in the u.s. XD; and i think it's quite different than the european, yeah.
yeah, that's understandable XD; the key is slowly and little by little at a time, but PRACTICE EVERYDAY! XD <333

lol it takes a long time to get into a normal relationship I think? All my past ones I was so obsessive and I had to be with the person all the time @[email protected];; Maybe that's why they didn't work? XD;; It's good to be selfish! In a sense ;D<3.
lmfao I just snorted .___. xD
Wow you lost a lot :O And you're right it's not healthy, but meh, everything is proven to be unhealthy now a days XD! So who cares! Are you happy? That's all that matters :D!
Hmm that sounds really interesting :O Aslong as it doesn't have people sucking blood >.> vampires scare me, seriously, I sleep with the covers around my neck at night D:! But that does sound interesting. Have you ever read Lovely Bones? It's about this girl who was raped and killed and its all in the firs person like the girl is telling the store from heaven, its so well written!
lol I would LOL too xD;; But then I would feel bad for the girl </3
XD Do you commission on Gaia? If its any consolation, my guys look like girls x]

I remembered that I already explained the german Schoolsystem to Anoni in this thread x3 But I can tell a little about it again. We all go together to elementary School, here called "Grundschule" after 4 years we get seperated by our marks. Top marks head over to "Gymnasium" which has nothing to with sports here x3. By the end of gymnasium (9 years) you get the graduation called "Abitur" if it's good, this is your entrance to Universery or FH (a little lower then University) if you are not so good but still good in elementary School then you go to "Realschule", after yout passed that one you get something called "Mittlere Reife" with that you can go to gymnasium if you are good enough and after that to university or you go and apply to learn a job, yes here in germany you first have to lern a job for most of the time an other 3 years.
If your are not good enough for "Realschule" in elementary school then you go to "Hauptschule" that Schooltype is realy basic. After that you can also go and learn a job, but more hand-work jobs. but you can also spend and extra year and get the "mittlere reife" and after that the "Abitur" but not many try to do that.
That is what it's like here most of the times, we also have school that not sepereat you and there are other school that are diffrent like "Waldorfschule" or private Schools.
My education way was or is like that, I went to elementary School and after that to "realschule". I finishd that one quite well, I always where a "B" student, though our marks are not from A-F, they go from 1 to 6. they are also spelled out. Like 1 is very good and 6 ist not enough.
After "Realschule" if went to the Gymnasium. But not to a regular one. I am at a special one. It is specilized on Technology. and we have diffrent Profilesubjects. Like mine is "technology and Management" sound cool huh? it is not as great as if sounds >.>
After I finished that one, and if I am good I can go and study x3
So now you know what School is like in germany most of the time ^^'
Yeah I know that. I feel bad that I have not practiced today ~.~

haha, i think in a sense, i kind of was like that, too. a bit wanting to be with the person all the time, too. and that's probably another reason why i'm too afraid to be in a relationship again ^^; i don't want to be that person because, my goodness, was i annoying! D;
hehe, yes, i'm happy~ XD sucky how what's good for you is generally bad in taste, and vice versa D;! like ice cream... wahhh... all of that sugar and fatness... BUT OMG SO GOOD D;!!!
hahha, i don't know about the sucking up blood. i mean, it's only implied that some of the deaths was because of that ("two puncture wounds" on their necks and all XDDD). awww~ you don't like any vampires stories then? XD i haven't read that book before D;! awww... so sad! does the reader already know she's dead since the beginning of the book? or only in the end did they find out? D;
hehe i commission people on gaia, if that's what you're asking XD; i used to have a shop there, but closed now XD;;
@ kirsch:
ohh haha, so sorry~ XD; i don't pay too much attention to other people's conversations sometimes D;! wahh, that sounds complicated, but it probably isn't XD <3
by the way, does your school make you learn other languages that most west europeans used? like spanish, french, italian, etc.? :O i have a friend in the netherlands, and he knows at least 5 languages XD;;; other than dutch, i mean *3*; i'm so envious of him~ lol

Well it depends on what the School offers. English is as far as I know subject in each School After that there is French, Latin, Spanish and Italian.
Though, some School offer more, but sometimes it's not as a subject it's as a AG if enough people are intrested.
But Most of the time it's English, French and Latin that are subjects.
People from the Natherlands are so Multilangunal, this is awesome. I am so jealous of people speaking a lot of languages x3

Ah wow Kirsch, the German school system sounds so much better than America's. I like how it is separated based on how you do in classes and that you get to specialise in certain subjects earlier on instead of having to wait for university. Is university free there? My mom brought up the idea of me going to a university in Germany while we were there visiting relatives xD; I don't remember whether she told me the universities are free or if they are just a lot cheaper than American ones.
Also, your username means "cherry" in German, right?

Uhm.. going to university is not for free I think, Though I don't study, but a friend of mine does and so I will ask him.
I asked his girlfriend a minute ago and she said that it is not for free but 100€ per month, thats like 150$
But I am not sure. I will go and figure it out for you Caro ;3
How much do you have to pay in the US, or where you live?

Yupyup we are. :D
Mandatory languages given in the first 4 years of high school are English, Dutch, French and German. If you're doing the highest possible level of education it's English, Dutch, French, German, Latin and Greek I believe. Or maybe Hebrew. I'm not positive.
So practically everyone in Holland speaks Dutch and English, and then either a little bit or fluent French or German. To speak all 4 fluently is rare. Since a person takes to a certain language and focuses on that.
I am currently only fluent in Dutch and English, and understand German but can't speak it. I'm also in the process of learning Norwegian and with hopefully learn Spanish.

I was in Germany for a month and I pretty much only learned names of food. XD
Ah, that is still a lot cheaper than the US. I don't actually know how much they costs. >_< I should, considering I'm going to be applying to universities soon. The costs vary depending on what university you go to. I googled it and found this in an article:
Quote:

Attending a college or university in the United States is very expensive. A year at a prominent four-year university can cost almost $50,000, and this does not include the extra costs of housing, transportation, and other living expenses. There are, of course, less expensive options at colleges that also offer an excellent education. Most four-year colleges cost at least $10,000 per year, and many more are in the $20,000 to $30,000 range.
|
Some Random Randomness ||
Oh wow, that is a lot of languages! You guys are lucky. I've always loved languages and I wish American schools had more options/allowed you to take more language classes in high school or even earlier on. I think most schools in America offer Spanish and French, maybe Japanese and/or German. Only two years is mandatory (at least in California, not sure about other states but I think it is the same).

I was in Dusseldorf, I believe; there's another D____dorf city that I'd constantly get it confused with, so I'm not sure if Dusseldorf is the one haha. It was near Koln/Cologne. I actually did not get a chance to visit Berlin. :< I stayed with my aunt, uncle, and cousins and visited sights in the area. I definitely want to go to Berlin someday though.
I'm scared to go to a university outside the US because I don't know anything about them. :O I do really like Germany though. If only I knew the language better... - 3-
I've been planning on studying fashion design for a while, but I'm starting to question that choice as it's getting close to the time I should be applying to universities. I kind of want to do architecture now. I've always found it interesting.
