Once the Marketplace came out, most people used the over inflated prices there trying to justify their outrageous pricing in the exchange and say the guides were wrong. Then the creation of the Guides Subforum and moving of all the pricing guides out of the exchange and to there was the final blow. Most of them stopped being supported since visitors were few and far between. There may be one or two that still attempt to survive today but for the most part, they're done for. Tektek and its pricing along with the marketplace(which i think is the most retarded pricing system, shoes store price 150, marketprice 5k....need i say more) are the only two really used price guides.

I'm still waiting for something to be added to the market place that disallows any store items to be priced higher then the store's price. But thats wishful thinking on my part.

well i used to help with several of the guides on gaia, GEN and Evil I both worked for as a price checker. So thats no problem for me, its just the lack of time anymore. Real life takes priority.

Seigzhart: its not as hard as it sounds, but for it I would also recruit others with the same interest to look over prices and stuff and help with determining. Thats how its kept fair for all, otherwise with one person determining prices I think many would think it to be sketchy for obvious reasons. That person could by all rights, make an attempt to control the market in their favor.

@ tazzy: yep, yep, I think i remembered those incidents, too lol. i think having more than 1 guide here would help. sure, people may get confused and stuff, but at least, it gives them a choice as to which price guide to go by as it won't be based on ONE person's "opinion" on what the prices on the items should be (which, I would consider as manipulation).

i'm just not here long enough to really pay attention to the prices XD;;; otherwise, i'd help out. if anything, i might try to help out with the layout XD;;; and may be keeping up with a few selling/buying/auction threads here and there.

lol i wish for that rule pricing store items above store items to be implemented, too, but XD;; *hugs* just as long as we're informed, we'll just have to hope that others won't be so stupid and not check the prices before purchasing them. x_x;
