The Wandering Poet 09-24-2012 06:13 PM

This is why I don't watch anything from Hollywood anymore...

dessertdesiert 09-24-2012 06:14 PM

Why because it is not scary?

The Wandering Poet 09-24-2012 06:18 PM

Too many "intimate" scenes... and the rest of the movie sucks because they spent half a million dollars making it "look realistic" =.= damn perverted men and their obsession...

I prefer storyline... if I can't get one it's pretty bad... but if it has one... I honestly don't care if there's intimacy or not... I just want my storyline! [illgetu]

dessertdesiert 09-24-2012 06:20 PM

What type of story lines do you like?

The Wandering Poet 09-24-2012 06:26 PM

something that flows and doesn't "stop" during action scenes... the storyline has to be constant.

dessertdesiert 09-24-2012 06:28 PM

So you don't mind love stories?

Jeannesha 09-24-2012 06:34 PM

Things are just too TOO, if you know what I mean.

dessertdesiert 09-24-2012 06:35 PM

No, I don't know what you mean, I am kinda lost what you are referencing, are you referencing what DD directs?

Jeannesha 09-24-2012 06:37 PM

Love scenes from Hollywood.

They're just TOO much these days.
Leave nothing to the imagination.

dessertdesiert 09-24-2012 06:40 PM

Oh yes, they do

Then again think about what some people wear out in public, that leaves nothing to the imagination either.

The Wandering Poet 09-24-2012 06:41 PM

So true Jen... if I wanted to see that junk I'd go on google... =.= not to the theater...

@ DD - Yes I do in fact enjoy a decent love story... granted I don't want some sappy omg i luv u i luv u crap like romeo and juliet... but other than that I'm rather content with a properly made romance.

Jeannesha 09-24-2012 06:41 PM

I know.
Everything's so explicit these days.

The Wandering Poet 09-24-2012 06:42 PM

@ DD - So true... =.= I saw one girls butt through her pants... like... the pants were designed to show half the crack (half way down)... it's like eww... kill it with fire... I'm just glad it didn't catch on...

dessertdesiert 09-24-2012 06:42 PM

Blah, have either of you read the book 50 shades of gray?

The Wandering Poet 09-24-2012 06:42 PM

No. I've heard really good and really bad things about it... I think I'll play it safe [lol]

Or the ones that wear pants so tight you see the lining of their undies

50 shades of grey doesn't leave anything to the imagination, which is why people like it because it is exactly like people act which is why people also hate it. Yes the main characters repeat the same actions all the time, but do you find you repeat the same actions all the time too right?

Jeannesha 09-24-2012 06:44 PM

I've heard of that book...

dessertdesiert 09-24-2012 06:46 PM

I think Jean hears all the stuff about the sex scenes >.>" but the writing is what I really wanted to talk about >.<'

The Wandering Poet 09-24-2012 06:46 PM

underwear lining is fine... I just don't want to SEE it... honestly I don't care if her underwear is poking out... just cover the crack... god she's not a fricken plumber...

@ DD - Constantly... I'm a creature of habit >w< I wake up, computer, sleep, repeat

I'm actually trying to write a "romance adult story" that leaves nothing to the imagination... but it's likely to be 100% private and never to be shared except "yay I did it" XD

dessertdesiert 09-24-2012 06:48 PM

share it with your girlfriend to give her some ideas xD

Jeannesha 09-24-2012 06:51 PM

I love the way some authors use words.

Stephen King is one.
He gets you really invested in his characters.

...and then he kills them off. lol.
I've thrown a few of his books across the room...

The Wandering Poet 09-24-2012 06:52 PM

time for class byebye

dessertdesiert 09-24-2012 06:53 PM

Really? I have heard he does that to them, but they have a goodish ending right?

---------- Post added 09-24-2012 at 02:53 PM ----------

awww buh-bai poet :(

Jeannesha 09-25-2012 01:03 AM

Overall, he does pretty good endings.
But the survivors are usually a surprise.

dessertdesiert 09-25-2012 01:46 AM

That's cool :)
