How many years are you studying Japanese?

My quest is so crazy? XD I suppose so. But mostly because I simply never buy anything from it. x.x; I know I will never really work on finishing it.

Well, I've been studying on and off for four years, now.. @[email protected];; I'm much better at speaking it than reading a lot of it from a book. I can read in my head fine, just not out loud. XD;;

Also, I did ithir's big commons quest for her.. maybe I could work on yours, when I run out of things. :ninja:

Well, I am studying English since 3rd grade, which means 6 years, but for the first two, I was HORRIBLE at it. My first English teacher even said that no wonder I am not good at languages, since I am more of mathematic kind (at that time I was)... However, when i started actively using it, it slowly got better. I think you can't learn a language just from textbooks, you must use it. try reading something, for example those comics. It might be slow now, but it will pay off. It really will. use it wherever you can. I have used it day to day for four years and I am still far from perfect. And first three years I was truly horrible. So its quite logical you are not brilliant at it.

And Rainybos, DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.

Ahh. But that's what I meant by books... they're all written in a different form of japanese (conversational and casual) opposed to textbooks, which I read fine (because they're written all in formal japanese). @[email protected]~
So, I need to find more comics to read.. XD The one I was reading was meant for little kids in japan learning kanji. ;w;~ It was a Doraemon comic.
