We start at the 1st of February, and then end at around April the 10th. That's Term 1.
Then we come back on around the 26th of April, and then end at the 25th of June. That would be Term 2.

Term 1 and 2 make up the 1st semester. :x

And then we have Term 3 and 4,

Term 3 being from July 19 to September 24,
and Term 4 being from October 11 to December 9, and those two terms make up the 2nd semester.

So, 4 terms and 2 semesters in a year. Did that make any sense at all? o_o' Is your school like this? :o
Obviously, different schools will vary in dates, but they're all pretty close to each date.

Umm - it sort of makes sense, but we don't call it "term 1 term 2" or whatever xD;
We go from the 27th of August or so to about December 17th -- we have a break in November for Thanksgiving that's about a week long~

For the second semester, we go from late January on either the 17th or 24th (somewhere around there, I can't remember which week it is lol) -- which gives us about a month and a half off for winter break between semesters~
We go from then until about May 15th or so (mid may basically) and we have spring break which is a week/week and a half (not sure which yet) in mid April :3

Then we have off from the time we get out in May, until we start up again at the very end of August, which is about 3 1/2 months for a summer break :3

So basically the time we have off are considered vacations during the semester :3

Oh, I see! It's very interesting comparing school dates with other countries. :o I'm in Australia, so we have Christmas in Summer. That always confused me when we were drawing snow and snowmen back when I was younger, because it was always so humid, and snow never came around Christmas. :/

For being a land of opportunity, we sure have a lot of debt, homeless people, orphaned children who can't be adopted because of the system, a shit load of crime/murder/rape/etc. that's hardly controlled, not to mention we can't stay out of anybody's business so we're always in war with the world >.>
Other than that, it's all peachy keen LMAO

I wish we didn't have it for as long as we did :(
Though, it's better than having rain :gonk:

Besides, the snow doesn't stay long (Global Warming) so we rarely have it on Christmas :3
We just have it sporadically throughout the winter :3

i was in a car accident a couple of weeks ago and hurt my back from whiplash. Its was fine after that with pain meds but 2 days ago i tripped and fell (cause imma clutz) and hurt my back worse and pulled a whole bunch of muscles :P
so they told me not to get out of bed for a whole day and i went to school yesterday like an idiot so it hurts terribly and i can only get out to get a snack and pee xD

I would love to work at a library! reading books is something i do all the time plus its quiet so i wouldnt get a headache from working.

Hun -- they're ALLOWED to talk as long as it's not a disruption to everyone around them :P

And yes, librarians are the ones who take care of all the processing of Gov. Documents if they house them, as well as all of the processing of getting new books, getting books repaired, processing of getting new journals, discarding old copies of things that need to be updated/replaced every year, discarding of old newspapers that you now have on microfilm -- it's a hell of a lot more than just sitting at a desk and checking in and out books ^_^;;

If you can handle all of the jobs of it, I say go for it~
But just don't be naive about it and think it's just an easy-peasy job where you check in and out books all day and do nothing ;)
A lot of people don't realize that, so they're like "o_O Whoa..." when they realize all of the inner workings that Television/Movies don't show hahaha
