Cami ~ Hahahaha... well to ruin all the excitement of it... it got closed for being an Opium den about three years ago. That was aboutfour or five years after I left there.
But it was a lot of fun. We had all sorts of rooms. I think tere were ten large rooms altogether. Each room had a different theme to it. The room's I worked were the shilouette room, which put all the workers in little cuicles that were bullet proof dark glass with lights behind us,soall that could bes een were our shadows really. That was mostly where people went to just relax, talk and drink. We danced to ambiotic music. The other room I worked was the submission room. I was Mistress Enigma. No one knew what I looked like there. I was the professional dungeon whipping girl and the shortest one, so I got a lot of guys wanting to be domineered and forced to do my bidding. Something about tiny little girls taking charge got them excited, Isuppose. LOL. There were various other rooms with at least four or five workers [male and female] in each. One of my friends worked the tickle room. Feathers everywhere in that room, I swear. There was also a bondage room, where you could learn to tie people up or be tied up. As well as a pony room... where you wear these pony shoes that make your feet feel like crap, but look like hooves and you get bridled and saddled..... and various other fun things. |
Vah: The opium den thing just makes it even better. XD This sounds like the best place ever.

Cami ~ I was there when they had an Absinthe Room. That was open everyday... not just on goth or dom night. <33
I loved that room. But we didn't have the opium den when I was there... though I bet it replaced the shisha lounge... which may have had opium on special order here and there... >.>; As for some of the other rooms... hmm let me try to list the ones I can remember. 1 - Submission :: whips, chains, basics of submission 2 - Shilouette :: dancers behind glass, was the dance floor/bar/lounge 3 - Pony :: dressed in pony shoes and riden like a horse 4 - Bondage :: ropes, chains, basics of bondage 5 - Tickle :: feather ticklers, flowers and other things used for tickling people that are tied up 6 - Absinthe/Shisha :: pretty much the bar/lounge [forgot this was also where people sat and smoked hookah from shisha pipes] 7 - Pet/Swap :: flaunt your 'pet' or meet people to 'swing' with ... was also a dance floor/bar/lounge 8 - Piercer :: a professional group of piercers were here that would do your permanent or surface percings, suspensions and I think they had a scar tattooer... maybe a brander too. That's all I can remmeber, I think the other room or maybe two were just generic dress up and dance rooms, with bars. |
Man, I wish I had seen this place when it was still open. Did it generally cater to a male audience?

Cami ~ Not really. We had even numbers of male and female dominators. We even had a small number of submissive workers for the lounges and such.
But mostly you saw a lot of men in the submission, bondage and pony room. XD Do you live in Chicago? |

I lived in north central Pennsylvania and south central New York for most of my adolescent life. I hate hate hate hate hate hate snow more than a foot high. >w< |

I lived in PA/NY from 3rd grade until graduation... far too long in one place that cold. I'm glad I live in Cali right now... though honestly. I want to move to Hawaii to be with my boyfriend. That and Hawaii is absolutely gorgeous. I'd like to see rain more often than the sprinkles I get here in SO Cal in the winter. xD Anyways... gonna finsih playing snake for today and take a nap. I'll swing in later to chatter. |

Vah: I was looking at a job in Hawaii, which my mom was a big fan off. I said, "Living in Hawaii would be nice, but it would be even more expensive than here and New York," and she replied, "Yeah, but you'd be in Hawaii."

That would have been the coolest place to go visit, if and when I hit 19. >> I like the idea of the pony room; it just sounds funny, not the shoes; any pair of shoes that hurt should never be worn in my opinion, but, well I get this mental image of a person with a sadle, bridle and a tail strapped to a belt prancing around. The other rooms sound cool too! Not necessarily the tickle room, I hate it when people tickle me. Q A Q Boot camp? Wow, you've done so much! I hope I get the job too. /crosses fingers/ I'm reading through press releases on their site right now and trying to come up for good questions to ask when they ask if I have any questions for them. I'm not sure how long the interview will last. My guess would be 30 minutes, but you never know. The last interview I had lasted almost 2 hours. x.x I'd never been in an interview that long. I talked to six different people. This is only with one person, though, so I doubt it will take nearly that long. |

I'd have to actually get a car and, you know, learn how to drive. /eyes roads suspiciously/ It was actually in person, which is good as I don't think I would have survived a two hour phone interview.
I'm nervous about the whole phone interview thing because you don't have people's expressions to go by, and all they know about you is your tone of voice. At least I don't need to get dressed up though. If I pass this interview, I have another interview at the office. I'm fairly certain that I only do that final interview if they intend to hire me and just want to make sure I get along with people, though. |
No no... my book would be full of horrid grammar and would be so meandering and random, that most people would get completely lost.
Plus there have been such achingly long periods of utter boredom surrounding my life. XD I'm still trying to finish playing snake before my friend Dash gets off work. We're going cyber gear shopping. :3 |
