What mutant power would you want?
Yeah, I don't know exactly on the ear thing. I don't think it's all that rare. I was talking to my mom about it the other day, and she said the procedure was simple enough to fix it (a minor surgery of some kind), and once they actually did it, the problem cleared right up and didn't come back. But at the time, medicine was going through a trend of avoiding invasive procedures on children if at all possible. So I did all of these little experimental treatments that did no good whatsoever. Like, for example, they had me not eat or drink any dairy products for a few months. I'm not sure why they thought this would fix the problem, but I guess they thought maybe it was somehow related to dairy. |

I can be really sneaky and stuff. : D That or Nightcrawlers' ability to 'poof' everywhere. C : I personally also like Logan's, but I think that would be a favourite of a lot of people. I'm glad it wasn't some rare sort of thing that wasn't solvable. I know what you mean about the doctors being iffy when it came to operating on children. When I was in grade 5, I got my face smashed up by a soft ball and broke my nose, among other things. They said that had I been older, they would have operated, but because I was a little person, they left me be. Dairy? What? The calcium is forming walls within your ear canals, stopping randomly appearing liquids from vacating your hearing orifice? I tried to make that sound as scientifically intelligent as possible. > <U I don't understand what Dairy products would have had to do with fluids in the ear. : S |
Better than any explanation I could have come up with. XD I'm sure there was some logical reason based on current testing, but I really don't know what it was.
Did they do anything with your nose? Like wrap it? /imagines you almost mummified/ Walking through walls=cool. So does teleporting, though Nightcrawler's physical appearance is less than desired. As for Logan, I don't know. I'd only want his powers with exceptions. I wouldn't want to live forever, as it seems like he will because of how his body is constantly healing itself. And the claws are a big nono. But just plain healing, not really getting injured. That's cool. |

Hehe, nope, but that would have been better in my opinion. I walked around with my face twice it's normal size, blue and purple for weeks. I distinctly remember sitting in the car while my mum went into the store and bought something. A little girl about my age walked by with her mum and looked in the car at me. I had these huge sun glasses one, but everything else was still colourful. I was so embarrassed. D :> I agree that NightCrawler really needs a better outward appearance. I do like both of those powers as well as Logans. I believe his mutant power was being able to live forever and heal any injury. They just added the adamantium (however you spell that word) to him later. Healing every injury would be really cool. I remember in grade school I was so proud of anything like that. XD I broke an arm, awesome! I got a cast! My mom took me to get braces, and I had to beg her to take me by the school before we went home so I could show them off. As far as mutant powers, since that seems to be the topic of conversation, I like Gambit's power. He makes things explode. x3 I think I'd hate to have Scott's power. I guess, once you get used to it, it's not bad, but I don't like wearing glasses on a regular basis. I do wonder how things must look to him, though. |
One thing I like about X-men is how all of the powers have their negative side effects. None of them seem to be completely good.

That is kind of awesome. So, speaking of, do you happen to know how Prof X was paralyzed? Was it a result of his powers, or was it something else? I've actually always wondered. xD

Gambit is cool, always loved him in the shows. ^^ I agree, I personally don't like that power because for one, he can't control it, and in order to control he wears those slit glasses and the only way to actually use his power is to touch the glasses. What if his hands were restrained? He'd be in trouble. Cami ~ That's where you'd find some reason to stay living. Maybe start controlling peoples' lives and making them into little pawns who do whatever you tell them to. >: D My injury occurred in the summer so I didn't miss any school or see anyone. I wouldn't have minded a broken arm, they have casts that everyone signs. I had a smashed up face. D :> I had also just gotten braces on, but the wire had yet to be put on, so my lips were covered in squares of puncture marks on the insides. It was all perfect timing really. I also kind of liked Storm and Rogue's powers. Rogue's I wouldn't want the way she had it, though. I would want to be able to control that. x_x Not being able to touch anyone would suck horribly. Controlling storms would be awesome though. xD VVicked - I remember when the MMM ran out around here... It was a sad, sad day. :( EDIT: Cami - Oooh, research. xD No, it's not exciting enough. It'd be cooler if he lost his ability to walk as his power increased. Scientifically, he's using different areas of his brain, wider areas, but we're only meant to use, at most, a certain amount of the brain. Therefore, when he expanded too much, something had to suffer. But... I'm one to torture characters, and think too deeply into matters, so... xD;; |
