Jeeze, Ise. That sounds horrid. ~_~;;

I hate money. I really really do. I hope you're able to get your glasses fixed without it being a full-blown repair/new pair.

I just got back from trying the places in the area that sell glasses. I have to get a full blown new pair, lenses and all. I don't have $300 to do this again, I don't know what I'm going to do.

Seriously?! You have to buy a new pair. That is some bullshit. =/ Glasses are the most expensive necessary thing. They are way to overpriced.

I can't have the lenses shaved down to fit into another pair because they were shaped specifically for that pair. The pinnacle of the lense would be ruined if I did and I probably wouldn't see straight.

I'm going to try one last place to see if they have any frames that fit after work and then I give up. I may have to forbear my student loans and let them grow for three months just to be able to afford a new pair. They're just under half the price of what I pay per month on those....

.. no such luck. I just doled out $150 for a temporary pair until I get insurance and can get a proper pair with the transitions again. This is going to suck, immensely. I'm very light sensitive, but I cannot go without my glasses. I'm freaking blind without them. One eye's prescription is .75 and the other is 2.00.

Sorry to hear that. It's really shitty to go without insurance. :\

Yeah, it is. I got booted midnight of the night I graduated college from mom's insurance.

And I keep trying and failing at getting a full time job. I just put out an application yesterday, I got another today for somewhere else. But all the places in this area that are offering are part-time, retail or the hospital. Anything full time typically wants so many years of prior experience in their given field, but there are no entry level ones to get experience in the first place. I'm at a loss, and I can't pay the $650 a month on my loans alone, but mom can't help me anymore.

Seriously... things are going down in a shitty way lately. Majorly having issues.

What did you graduate with, if you don't mind me asking? I have another friend who received her master's, but it's been comparable to pulling teeth with rusty devices for her to get a job. The market's kind of scary... :\

$650 is a lot for loans, not including the other bills. I can't imagine how overwhelmed I'd feel..

I have a BFA in Communications Design. I went to school for illustration. I'm not trying to even get a job in my field right now, just a job to pay the bills. I'm waiting on my beau to graduate at the end of this year with his 2 associates degrees in Computer Forensics and Informations Technology. Eventually we will move towards a city where looking into illustration with be more possible. There is shit for art in my dinky little area.

Yes, but art school is a lot. And this is even when I knocked out $10k a year in scholarships to boot. I'm hugely overwhelmed and right now seriously upset.

With good cause to be upset from the sounds of it. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that a job opens up for you soon to help pay the bills until you and your beau can get out of the area. :(

Thanks, Chi. I could use some good luck, huh?

I should probably pop off Mene. No one wants to talk to a depressed user ^^; Only brings the mood down from what's supposed to be a fun place.

My threads are usually full of them and that's it. ^^; They're usually dead, so I figure people prefer to move away from RL issues and just have fun/unwind. No one likes a downer, at least not of my variety. ^^;

That always makes me smirk because everyone eventually needs an ear. I get so annoyed when I listen to people and then something goes wrong on my side and suddenly there are just chirping crickets and tumbleweeds.

So, I don't consider you a downer at all. I think everyone should have time where they can just talk and someone just listens.

I know how that is. .-. Usually it's just Crys who stays with me when I'm having particularly rough days.

My life is kind of going to hell in a handbasket lately, so I don't really have much good to say and I'm often left lurking because of it. There are a few people who pop in and leave a post in my threads, but usually that's it. Kind of makes me feel like leaving Mene a bit...

Mm... I sometimes lurk on days I'm too tired/stressed. But it's still nice to be able to sit and chat with someone even when it's been a bad day. Even if it's not my day that's been bad.

I do hope things look up for your soon. How small of an area do you live in?

Very small. .-. I live in Apalachin, just outside of Binghamton NY. And that's turning into a ghetto now, too. One of the larger places around the area is losing another 250 jobs here.

I... hear ya. I live in a town with about 1200 to 1400 people. The job options for staying right here include grocery store work (which is limited to about 10 spots, 20 at most) and fishing.

Once I graduate I can commute a bit to work (anywhere from 20-30 miles) and work there. I have a way to go though. I'm getting my BA this May but I'll be immediately going into a grad school program the same month.

Yeah, I need to move towards a city of some variety for a job in my field, at least to start.

Still selling. .. and watching Code Geass, lol.
