Yeah, I'm thinking more about taking math classes online now and possibly going for architecture anyways even though math is a drag. I just don't know if I'll be happy doing all those calculations, but at the same time, architecture and design as a whole is appealing to me. For now, I'm thinking about fashion design.

I've recently been more honest and said I don't want to be like that...like them.

It's not cool when people you admire and you consider to be part of your pillars aren't what they seem and you lose trust in them...

It happened to me and now I can't help but look at being in the law profession as ending up being like them too.

So I want to do something else---prove I can be successful other than being a lawyer.

Nope, I'm not in any classes right now actually. I'm going to get my GED when I move back to California, take all the standardised tests I missed while I was gone, and start applying to colleges. P:

Wow, schools in your area must have higher standards for math than California. My high school only required algebra for graduation, and I took algebra in eighth grade. o_O We had to take two years (I think) of math regardless though. I had geometry freshman year, and my class was mostly sophomores with a few juniors and seniors.

Yeah, Asian parents can be pretty strict on what kind of career you go into. They just want a prosperous future for you by saying law or medicine, since those are pretty much guaranteed to give you a good salary, but they forget that you have other interests. ._.

Isn't it ridiculous? You seriously don't need four years to complete algebra, lmao. They have these ridiculous classes like pre-algebra A and pre-algebra B... I don't even know.

I'm not sure what else is required; I dropped out after tenth grade because I felt like I wasn't learning anything or getting anywhere. Math class, for example, has always felt super slow for me, and when I did my second semester of geometry online instead of taking an early first period class, I finished the semester's class in two weeks. I learn more/better on my own than in school. P: I wish I could have taken government though, and maybe more English because I'm a huge English nerd. I can just ask my dad to get some textbooks for me since he is a professor at Cal State colleges.

Yeah, I know how that is with the folks. Hopefully they will become more understanding overtime. My parents still constantly talk to me about the choices I've made regarding my education, though my mom has become more open to what I think is best for me. You just can't stay too long in a situation you're not satisfied with, you know?

If I come home and work on it, I can eventually teach myself and understand. But basically I'm retarded at school. 8D ~ English / History has always been the easiest for me.
