well in my case.. my husband is my best friend.. and then my best friend girl is Beth...i have known her since junior high and we went through alot of crap together... so thats it for me... everyone else... are just friends or more likey aquaintances...I can neve really trust alot of people as "best" friends like that... you kinda end up getting hurt in some way like that...

ofcourse I love my online friends.. its a totally different feeling.. and i am guessing the reason behind that is that.. even if there is a problem.. for some reason it gets resolved easier online...and i don't feel that people here, at least in menewsha, are using me. I mean nobody here is waiting for me to drive them somewhere right? XD

I think its just good to have one best friend... or at least a really close friend you can trust enough... you know? there is no need for many...^^;

I just personally have attachment issues with people. I don't find myself to care enough for other people. There are a few that have earned my respect so I'm quite loyal of them, but that's about it. I don't really know how to describe it. I just feel indifference towards most people and don't care if I hurt their feelings or something like that. -shrugs- Honestly, it doesn't bother me either to be this way. Of course I have my friends, they love me. But it's the sort of thing I wouldn't miss them if I had to leave. I dunno.

@Vixen: well...that is definitely understandable... if there have been cases where in the past you had felt betrayed by someone you thought was a friend to you.. then this is very common..as long as you are happy... thats whats most important. Its ok to feel how you feel but when you aren't feeling well i am hoping there is someone nar you physically who will comfort you or take care of you...like if you are sick for example. And the whole thing about not caring if your friends come and go... you know i actually think i went through that too... cause I recently moved from Florida and I had friends there... but you know..they weren't like ones i could trust much... so now that i am back in NYC...i dont even keep in contact with the ones from Florida.. and when i arrive there next month... i probably won't visit them either...so some odd reason if i dont talk to them online....the friends i had in one state would be lost.. and i don't feel that sad about it...

so its not so bad having that kind of feeling...its not like they feel hurt that i am gone.. you know?

@Esme: I had the same situation with Pennsylvania. I only really talk to one person now and then from there. Otherwise, I don't talk to the friends I used to hang out with every weekend and such. I moved when I was in middle school though, so that probably has something to do with it.

I don't know what it is, but I'm actually really content with the way I am. I don't have any intentions of getting attached to anyone. I'll probably be one of these people who lives in an apartment, can afford a nice car because of it and go on vacation often... and I'll be completely happy.

I realized just now.. its not that get attached..its when they get attached to me and my react to the attachment that determines the friendship.... so maybe thats why its easy for me to leave those who aren't attached to me....since i never really attach myself either... Beth has always found a way to attach herself to me after all these years..and i dont mind it... so i guess that worked..and my husband is a whole other case ofcourse..XD
