Shame on you! >.>

Ah, who am I to say that. xD I'm worse at neglecting my threads. *doesn't think she's posted in any but one within the past couple months*

How are things going?

Things are on an upswing! I started a new job as an MR case manager. I'm into my third week. It's a 20hr/wk position, so it's not too demanding, and I haven't lost a lot of time with the baby. She started daycare right before I started work, at 18 months. She's thriving. She didn't cry at all during the transition and she's independent enough to just have a blast. I hope it sticks. She's loving life.

Having money coming in helps. I get decent pay, though no benefits other than paid and vacation time. It's great right now but medical benefits of some sort will need to come in if I'll stay long term. I'll be doing it at least until graduation. Who knows when that will be.

How are things with you? :D

That is great to hear. :) And perhaps the company could work to offer medical benefits later on. Is it due to the amount of hours you work? I know that whenever I worked part-time at certain places, they couldn't offer those benefits unless I was putting in at least 30 or so hours a week. I know it costs them money to do so, but I think it would be great in they could offer it for any employee regardless of the hours they work.

And money coming in is always nice. :) I look so forward to Wesley's next paycheck. We should have a little to spare after paying the bills. This past month was rough on him since we had to take care of a past due property tax bill. And with him having to take a couple days off as well.

Overall, things are good here. I'm counting down until Monday, lol. April 2nd marks Wesley and mine's nine year anniversary.

@hummy
Thank you! :)

@Liz
The job isn't meant to go beyond 20 hours, so it's doubtful. While I do love the work, it's not what I want to do for the long term. Five years, max. The travel time is draining. That, and the lack of medical benefits or anything beyond a small accumulation of sick/vacation time isn't enticing...

I'm hoping they may branch out. When I graduate next year, I'll be qualified to do much more. We'll see where life takes me, I suppose.

Nine years! That's amazing. Do you guys have anything planned? :3

Ah, ok. How long is the travel time? I think around here a decent job requires at least a 45 minute drive one way. Unless you're really good at manual labor and can get on at some of the factories. But I've heard tales about how rough those places can be.

I hope so as well. :)

Sadly, no. He has to work tomorrow and by the time he gets home, I know I'll be tired. The boys spring break starts tomorrow and they get a whole week off. Which isn't too bad. But it's funny how on their days off, they will be up at the crack of dawn. And on school days, they want to sleep in until at least 8. xD I told Wesley that I just want to relax and hang out with him Monday night.

It takes me about 30 miles to get there, so 60 round trip. Working itself takes extra driving, though. Often times I drive 130-150 miles round trip to see clients. x.<; Ultimately, I'd love an office job.

Hopefully the boys don't get up too early tomorrow. At least you guys will be able to spend the evening together! :D

Son of a gun... That is way too many miles.

I hope so. Even if they do, they normally stick to either watching TV or reading. They've been nice before to let me sleep in for like an hour before coming in to wake me up so I can fix breakfast. xD And yep! I love evenings solely for that reason.

I do get paid while driving, and if the company cars are all signed out for that day, I can use mine and get mileage reimbursement. Still, it's monotonous, and in the winter, it can be dangerous. Rural roads aren't plowed well. Still! It's a job, and it's money. That's a lot right now. :3

I love your avatar. It's very nicely balanced. <3

Well, that is one good thing then. And I know what you mean about rural roads. The town we live in (and basically the county) is rural and the roads rarely get plowed when it snows.

Thank you. :) The Valiant Knight and Trinity Guardian are two CIs I like to use. And I thought it would be nice to use the Staff of Healing. I think this is the first time I've ever used it.

Well, thank you. :) And I believe that is one reason I rarely use it. I like to match somewhat when I make a new avatar. And I don't think I have much that it goes well with.

Lately, I've been putting more focus on the commons. I'd like to have some things to play with. Of course, it means I've been neglecting to get my CIs. But that's fine. Always something to quest for later on.

I'm missing some CIs, too. I've been chatting, just not enough for the gold. If my MP stuff sells I'll be able to grab the ones I'm missing. I don't even know which ones. :lol: I've been neglectful!

Yeah, I've been the same. I'm missing a few from last year and some of this year's.

Do you have the Valiant Knight CI? If not, I have one I can give you. :)

Alright. :)

And thank you! Wesley decided to play hooky today from work so he could spend time with me. <3 Though I hate how it's going to make his check small, I love having the time to spend with him.

Yeah. I've told him before that I value the quality time with someone over them working all these hours just to bring home extra money.

Yep, those bills can be a killjoy. I'm fine if we don't have the extra cash to blow on things we don't need. But I like to have the bills paid and food for everyone.

Same here. We rarely have excess, and I don't mind that. I just like the comfort of knowing bills are paid and food is on the table. :3

If only I could get my youngest to understand that. He's one of those who likes to get extra stuff. My oldest takes after his daddy. :lol: He will put things back that we plan to buy him.
