I remember feeling similarly when I ran my charity. I had been eventually coaxed to give it to who was after it, provided I gave a fair distribution. I think it's okay to give to friends once in a while, especially if no one else is asking for the particular item. :3

With rares like that, I prefer giving them out in contests which I am not the sole judge of, pageprizes, triva games, things like that. Especially because more often than not, if the item is special enough that people are actually searching for it, they're not exactly the only one amongst my friends who are.

Sounds like reasonable logic to me. :)

Izumi, I need to get the EIs from this event as well. I've not been participating much. I think I posted once or twice. I'll see if I can get a small giveaway in or something, but I've been more focused on family time. I "work" tomorrow (practicum) and have to do an hour or two of prep calls today for it. Then I have Friday-Tuesday off. I'm not sure how much of that will be spent with my sister and nephew. They're here 'till just after New Years.

I kinda want to get away for a weekend. We're tapped financially (of course--who isn't right now?) but I'd like to do something for Cole's birthday before the ridiculousness of spring term hits. I cannot believe this is his final semester, and almost mine. It's my last semester with a class. I'm taking Group Counseling Process and beginning my internship. The latter lasts however long it takes me to get the 900 hours done.

It's been insanely busy at work and people are a little more touchy than usual. Most are pretty understanding, but then you get that one asshole where you are scratching your head as you would think they'd go waste their time elsewhere. I literally had a guy wait an hour and a half because he didn't get a free trial. Really? I don't have a whole lot of wiggle room. I could issue them the month free, but every single thing you do is recorded and I fear if I'm too lenient it will come to bite me in the ass. We literally have a four of punks just waiting to crack our policies to get free stuff as well. They have literally written guides on how to push us customer service reps to get what they want....seriously. Sad sad people.....
