Oh, I'm all right. I had a complete screw off day and did nothing other than cook dinner for Cole. I made chili. He should be home in about half an hour.

I'm good. I have 2 stephen king books from the library that I need to read. :3 I didn't do much today. I did laundry, errands, and such the past few days. So today was an "off" day. Haven't seen Cole around, lately. I'll have to poke him. :XD

Oh Chi dinner came out tasting good, but didn't look too tasty. I have two more finishing up in the oven...hopefully they'll look a bit more appealing...

yes it did actually. I have a picture on my camera. Lemme load it up.

I mean I'm getting there. The first batch had one where the pastry was all holey and when I pulled it out of the oven it looked like it had like atrophied or something...it was horrible looking and there's no way I was going to show you a picture of that...you would of lost your appetite!

Nope. They were suppose to be Cornish Pasties. They came out really yummy, despite most of them not coming out aesthetically pleasing...

I've always been of the opinion that food can look awful, but still be tasty. (And those don't look awful!)

One time I wasn't feeling all that well (I was kinda drained and mopey) when I was making bangers and mash. I accidentally added too much beer to it and it all turned into soup.

But it was one of the best soups we'd ever eaten. o.o

Hubby tries to tell me that I make the best stuff when I don't follow a recipe. He's one of those people who loves to tinker in the kitchen and make up his own meals though. I like to take a recipe and use it as a backbone and maybe change up a thing or two in it. I know...I'm much more boring then him. :P

He makes the best 'goulash' though. It's my favorite comfort food he makes.

And we're having cornbread as well!

Cornbread is hard to find/expensive in Holland, so it's a delicacy here. I don't think we've had cornbread since I came here.

I bake cornbread from scratch, too. Though mailing homemade cornbread probably isn't a good idea. XDD

Mmmm homemade cornbread is yum. I might have to try my hand at making some from scratch. I *think* we're going out tonight, so I'm off the hook as far as dinner goes. I still have more filling though to make more pasties. I'm really not in the mood to make a huge mess right now. :|

I'm just doing my daily fishing right now. Also debating what my next big purchase should be.

I need to fish later. I keep trying to do my reading assignment, but I've put a mental block up. I just don't want to do it. I read a page, refresh here. Read another page, refresh again. :roll:

I think I might go for a bit. Getting kinda antsy and for whatever reason I lag really bad when I play fishing right now and it's starting to piss me off. The fish are acting all jerky like.

Not sure what I'm going to do...maybe flip through the TV and see if there's anything interesting on. Man if this is what being retired is like I don't know what old people do with themselves...:XD

If my laptop gets too warm, I have the same issues with fishing. A while ago a clip fell off from something inside my laptop. No idea what it belongs to. We couldn't figure it out. o.O

I think I'll keep a fund together in case this up and dies on me. It's not even 2 years old yet, so I hope not. But it was the cheapest machine I could get at the time, too. XD;;
