No, not full-time. Jelly just decided it wasn't really reasonable not to have as titled as pixelists, since we basically do the same work and all.
And I ain't got no coffee.
But on the 16th, they're opening a StarBucks in the train station where I live. >.>

Given the nature of everyone else's problems, the next time this happens you should be able to avoid it by simply skipping the quick reply and using the full reply page. :)

Mmm... I met up with my friend for breakfast this morning. Her daughter is quite the character. :XD Two years old (almost) and smart as a whip. I wouldn't have called her "misbehaved", but rather more so as being "busy".
We're going to start buddy-ing up again as we did years ago. Before I moved out of Mom's she and I would meet up every morning around 5-6am for exercise. I told her we'll start setting up plans after my classes are out, which will be by the 17th. I'm excited. :boogie:

That's awesome news Chi!!
Ugh I wish work would slow down now! I've been working since 8am and it has been back to back the ENTIRE time. I miss sitting around having a couple minutes in between calls.
I think the reason it is so busy is these hours now are not at a higher rate, nor are they spamming us to work them like crazy. Everyone who wants the big bucks is probably doing the night shows tonight as the hangers lady is on and it will be nuts. (I don't understand HOW people can pay $80 for 100 hangers...even with all the stupid freebies...:o)

Yep. I can PM you the link if you want. I'd post it here, but I don't want it to be traceable. I don't want to get in trouble with work and such.
Seriously though, I had 3 different people that day swear up and down how lovely they were and how I should buy myself a pack!
And now they're selling these orthopedic pillows today for 2 with 2 pillow cases for over $100...Jeez. This really nice guy said he, his wife and his kids all have their own but I just can't justify paying that much when I can get a nice pillow for like $10.

M'ah well. If they have the money to get those things, all the power to them. :XD

I already posted this in another thread, but I thought it was amusing enough to repeat here:
Quote:
Gad. Sometimes I feel like the most ridiculous person. Right now, I am getting paid to look at articles, videos, poems, pictures, etc. designed to make me feel happy and inspired.
And I am so. damn. sick of it.
I'm like, "Seriously, another disabled kid is playing sports. Whoop de f'n doo. Yeah, blind kid, you managed to push forward one foot and get a touchdown. I'm sure you feel really special right now, but I bet you didn't know that some other blind kid is, as we speak, winning his team's basketball game by shooting freethrows, and that legless guy? He got fourth in a wrestling tournament. I'm sure you're feeling awesome about your one foot walk now.
"And if I have to look at any more awe inspiring scenery set to instrumental music I'm going to shoot myself! I am! And I'll tape it and you can put that on your site as a warning to others."
...
At least the animals are still cute.

I think a good handful of people who call this company frequently are under a lot of debt themselves, you can usually tell when they have more than one page of orders on their history.
I've also had a few people who will order things on check status, so they can temporarily reserve it and then call back when they have enough money on their credit card. I've had a couple who ended up having like 5 or more items in that status, and would call up just to CANCEL their reservations. We've been told we are not to offer the check status as a 'temporary hold' as something like 80% of people who call up and specify check as a method of payment never send it in and it's canceled. I think it will be just a matter of time before they do away with it altogether.
For now though, there's still a group of the older generation and those with bad enough credit (or possibly have had their accounts frozen for one reason or another) that they will pay with check or MO. I know that personally I hate using MO as it's as bad as having real money on hand and I'm always afraid it will go lost or missing in mail and it's just an 'oh well'.
Edit: There you are Cami!!!
Oh my goodness, seriously that's what you do?!?! I tell you what, have you ever worked for a company where you have to deal with people complaining? I guess it's the adverse effect, but I would imagine it'd be a little more tolerable since they're in a happier tone. I know that's the effect that placing orders rather than dealing with people's debts or their bad experience is...and I'm sorry, no matter what anyone says it's much more enjoyable job wise to speak to happy people then to pissed off people.
I'm on my lunch break now, hence why I'm able to type more than a couple sentences. :XD
I think I'm going to go heat up some water for a cup o noodle and pull something extremely easy for dinner tonight. I feel like I'm really being worked for my money today. :P

Izumi: I do lots of stuff. XD This is just one of my current projects.
It started off fun, but I don't think these things are meant to be taken in high doses. <<,, Or maybe I'm just too cynical. XD
I've worked in a lot of customer service jobs so I've dealt with a lot of complaining, but not one where that was my primary task. I'm sure that's not at all fun.
On another note, when I worked at Wal-Mart, we had people come in all the time who would pay fifteen dollars on their credit card, and then charge one hundred dollars to the credit card. I had no idea how those people survived.

Yah what really gets me though is when they're purely complaining to try and get handouts.
Or when they're complaining and it's their fault, or there's absolutely nothing I can do anyways. Or when it isn't constructive criticism and they're just being a big ahole.
Working on the cellphone project I'd say that 90% of my calls were pissed off people...and hubby would be like why was work bad, and I'd be like uhh cause everyone was in a god awful mood.

OMFG....Just got a call from exwife and she is such a fruit cake. I could tell she wanted nothing but to pick a fight with me. She wants us to ban stepson from playing videogames. I told her we can ground him, monitor his usage, but I will not ban him forever nor her daughter as I think that it is as valid of a hobby as any other and the problem with her son is the fixation he has for it. He needs to learn moderation, and that he cannot only talk about videogames, ESPECIALLY to his mother, grandmother, and his teacher. Ugh.

Cami, were those your thoughts? Admittedly it amused me because it came from you if so. xD,,
Izumi, why does she want the kid not to play games now?
