Me too! I thought it sounded a little strange.

I guess it'll give you some time to trial run having a kid. They're a bunch of fun, but a pain in the ass at times. It's nice to have 'me' space and time.

He turned 8 in November. 8 going on 45 some days. :roll:

I dunno how long he's staying. It's up in the air. I think at least a month. It depends on how long it takes her to find a stable job and get settled.

That'll be fun. A month with the nephew. Eight is a strange age, I'm sure he'll get into plenty of trouble. Hehe.

I figure I'll get some good quality time with him. The game plan is that he's with us Sunday through Friday, and with my mother Friday after school until Sunday afternoon. Those are the days he usually gets with his grandmother, so it keeps a routine going. :)

The only thing I'm not looking forward to is getting up every morning around 6am. Guh. Dx

8 is a really nice age, as they're already starting to form into quite a character and are wanting to please and be part of the family. They're able to do simple things for themselves, so you don't have to worry about diaper changes, weird sleeping schedules and lots of screaming. Also, kids seem to be much calmer when they're on their own. When you put more than one kid together, you find they get louder and are more likely to get into trouble...well depends on who. You get three or more together and it's like wow you're starting to get your hands full. :P

Yeah. I'm glad there's just one. :XD

He's a good kid though. The only concern I have is what foods to get. The house is officially gluten and dairy free, and he's not used to eating like that. I need to talk to my sister to see what usual foods he eats, and then see if I can play up on it. He's always eaten a lot of fruits and veggies, so no worries there.

It's just the simple things like breakfast sandwiches that he's been used to. Hopefully he likes the replacements. D<
