G'morning all!
My nephew has arrived, and he's covered in cigarette smoke. His school bag, the bag containing his video games, and his suitcase. I'm wondering if just tossing his clothes in the dryer with a dryer sheet will work, or if I'll have to wash everything over again? Anyone know?
It's making my whole pregnancy nausea thing off the wall.

Hmm I dunno. Smoke tends to wash out alright, but it's been so long since I've lived in a smoking household. Saying that, my parents smoked until recently and all their clothes come out of the dryer smelling like new.
Febreeze...if you got a little bit of that, will help get rid of the smell too...for things like his backpack, which you probably wouldn't want to wash. That and being in a non smoking environment and having it air out will probably help.

Yeah, I plan on using my bottle of Febreze on his suitcase and bags. I should probably go do that now, but I've been sitting here hoping my nausea will pass. It hasn't. :gonk: So I guess I just have to do it and if I throw up, I throw up. Shit happens.
I'll see if I can crack the kitchen window, too, but it's probably too cold outside.
What are your plans for today? It's going to snow here, again, so we're inside. School may very well be canceled for my nephew tomorrow, too. Tuesday onward looks good though.

*pokes Kin* HI thaaar! :XD
Nothing really too riveting. 8 hours of work, dinner, and just enjoying the fact that my husband is NOT laying on the couch, playing Dissidea all frickin' day. I mean I don't mind him doing it, but it was becoming a daily occurrence and it just slightly annoyed me that he really lacked much motivation to do anything else.

@Aceo
Hi there. How's it going?
@Kin
I think that will probably get old if I have to ask you to do something every time I feel a lurch coming on. The onion residue in the sink did it, too. And the turkey container. :XD
@Izumi
I don't mind it if Kin takes a day or two to veg. But I think it's because I veg as much as he does. And who knows, he may be vegging a LOT in the next few months if he gets unemployment. Good thing my class load isn't too heavy this semester. ;3

If I have the whole rest of the winter off, I doubt I'll be vegging all that much. I'll probably do the whole happy housewife routine. :)

Oh jeez Kin, sounds like you've got yourself into something. :P
Awww Having a husband to cater to you is nice. One thing hubby always does is all the cooking, which I love. :)

I'm wondering when to tell my nephew it's someone else's turn on the PS3. I think I'll play Kingdom Hearts at some point today, but I've forgotten where I left off. ;_;

Oh jeez got to compete now with the toys!! Sounds like me when step-daughter is here. Speaking of which, it's going to be fun when we have to call her up again as we kinda got at it over the phone, her being the ignorant bitch she is.
You know, I've already decided this netbook of mine will not let the kids touch. I doubt stepson will care much, but Pam on the other hand oh god I gotta kick her off. :P That and who knows what she'll try to download on it or she might spill on it or something.
Ask the kids, I'm veeeery anal about my toys. I make them wash their hands after eating or doing anything even semi dirty before they can touch my DS. I won't let it go in the bathroom, or kitchen (after hubby's 'accident') and it has to stay in the car or house.

I'm pretty finicky with anything CD-oriented like PS2-3/Wii and DVDs. Luckily my nephew has no interest in computers yet. :XD
@Kin
Is there anything on there other than swearing/violence? I've not paid strict attention, but they let him play T games with blood.

That's what I was trying to remember last night. I think it's been nothing but violence and lofty dialogue. Not even much in the line of swearing that I can remember.
I think it's the whole ruthless and indiscriminate killing.

We don't know. It could be a month, could be several. It depends on how long it takes my sister to get settled, with an apartment and a job. You know how the market is.
On top of it, shit may or may not hit the fan if/when my sister tells Mom she doesn't want her near him at ALL. x_X

I'm hoping if she can't find work within a reasonable time she'll come back, but I think she's too stubborn. The last I knew, there were places in the area that call for her work, but there was a waiting list.
I think she'll do it quickly at least.

Oh god had to try to give PC advice to a 70 yr old. Poor thing. I was suppose to give her upsells for a router and she had NO IDEA what it did, so I had to describe to her what a router does in laymens. Then it wanted me to sell insurance. She gave me who it was for, and the circumstances behind it and I'm like Desktop PC is much better in your case - you're not travelling, you can upgrade it, and it won't be obsolete in a couple months time.
I feel bad trying to take advantage of people's ignorance...I really do.

Well I just can't bring myself to do it, Chi. I don't have it in me to sell something like that to someone who simply doesn't understand. It'd be easier if she wanted makeup or clothing - those are usually brought on by greed and just a simple shopaholic kinda mind frame. This lady was buying a computer as a gift for her mentally challenged daughter, and I really didn't want to sell her stuff she didn't need or couldn't afford. I felt really guilt ridden even just going along with it and letting her find out the hard way. Damn consciousness. I definitely couldn't sell cars... :XD

I really don't get my mom. <<,, Every time I say I'm going to hang out with Anthy, she seems annoyed. And then, a couple of days ago, she was like, "You haven't hung out with Anthy much."
