@Steel
Okie dokie. See you in a while! @Sammi The last time I tried, it took me a while. XD There haven't been too many on the market lately, so maybe someone had been wanting one for a while? Who knows. If their offer goes through, I'm sure I'll be here. ^^ |
Ooh, I guess maybe I just got lucky then! xD
|
*drools on the scepter of chaos*
I got all cleaned up and now I feel really relaxed. :) I thought that anything heavy in Math or Science would be an absolute bitch to do well in in college unless you were pretty determined or pretty smart. I would love to be a vet tech or a nurse or med tech, but to be honest I don't think I'd pass the courses... So I went with the one science I love, enjoy, and makes some sense to me...Psychology! I would love to do something involving it, whether it'd be working as part of the head start team, or something along those lines. |
Vet tech school is like vet school lite(tm). But, yeah, you still have to be pretty good in math and science.
And someone suggested to me that I be a vet tech, but the job just doesn't appeal to me much. I'm more the doctor type than the nurse type. |
Hello, May I buy kitsune and caboodle for 6.5k?
|
@Remy
Sure can. I'll send a trade and just a moment. Thanks! @Sammi Did you want the Yumeh Slippers now? I notice you have 3k now, but I'm not sure if you still wanted them. :XD  @Izumi Any knowledge of psych will help you connect with people, and ultimately that describes the job you wanna do. You'll be working with people and kids. <33 @Steel I hate science. Biology is okay, but it just... doesn't interest me. I love my psych courses and I love art and writing. But science... ;-; |
I adore science. Although, I'm pretty dang tired of science texts by now.
I adore psychology, too, though. My backup plan is psychology (or more likely psychiatry)...specifically using therapy animals. |
Chi - you sound so much like me. I love my arts, humanities, and psych. I could easily take all the philosophy course and I would absolutely love it.
I'm taking Elementary Algebra, and while I'm not struggling with it at all, I dislike math so much that I rather take the easiest course necessary for the degree and never touch it again. :P |
I loved Algebra, but didn't care for much beyond that. I loved the word problems though. :XD
|
Igh. Can I give you all my word problems then? :P I just find them annoying. I find any math pretty annoying actually...but Aaron gets all excited. We compliment each other well when it comes to school subjects we find interesting. He *loves* math and science, but isn't artsy or into humanities. I like documentaries, but they have to be about murder cases, or talk about how religion formed...something along those lines. Where he'll want to watch crap on geological changes in the earth or about the big bang theory....
|
:XD That would put me to sleep too. Though, I guess I'm guilty for loving the hours-long documentaries over mummies and autopsies and stuff.
|
Mine is ocean documentaries. I totally *own* the box set of Blue Planet. Heh.
|
I live on the ocean. I love it, but I've been able to go out on boats and reach out for jellyfish and other critters, so it's nothing special to me on TV. My favorite was when I got to see a baby seal up-close. It had just been birthed and the umbilical cord was still there. :3 Some men were rescuing it.
|
Ohhh Egyptian culture is fascinating....the mummifying bit is a bit gross, but still interesting to learn about.
Blue Planet...Aaron loves that show! I find it...boring. :P (Once again, non-humanities...boo!) I love studying religions too, so much in fact I took world religion in highschool then again in college. I'd take it again if it was part of my studies, or if I could get away with taking it and having it paid by the state. (hell I was flipping through the book and there's lots of classes I would love to take -- I just hate homework/testing. :P) |
D'aww. Eh, jellies are pretty and all, and I do love invertebrates, but I'm more of a deep sea creature kind of girl. Give me a dragonfish over a whale any day. Haha.
|
Hey Chi, do you know how much a Valentines 08 set would roughly go for? I know I could sit and add up the guide, but surely it's a little less than that if you're buying them in a set? I would hope...
Edit: Oh my gosh dinner is done and it smells heavenly! *finds her body gravitating towards the smell* |
If you buy in a set, it's usually the cost of everything added up in the PG. I'm not sure what they go for nowadays. D:
Steel, I think my favorite fish is the Scalpin. Everyone thinks it's so ugly, but I love it. :XD When I'd go out on a lobster boat I'd always play with them. |
Izumi, it sounds like Aaron and I should have a movie night. Haha.
I do love the religions as well, but I tend to like the really bizarre, unpronounceable culture ones. Edit: Ooh, what's cooking, zumzum? |
I think her hubby made the dish she wanted. :XD I forget the name of it, but she said she loves it.
|
I'm all for getting food I was craving. :)
*considers making her cheap peanut butter dessert* |
I can't have what I'm craving. :XD Too allergic to it. Gah.
Instead, I shall sip Ginger Ale and behave myself. D: |
That sucks. Do you think you'll ever stop craving those things you can't have?
|
Oh, I hope so. :XD
I did read something hopeful though. I guess that the longer a person goes gluten/dairy-free (provided they're also allergic to the latter), and the longer the gut has time to heal, the higher the chance the person can have dairy again. I need to be following this 100% until after the birth and breastfeeding is over with, so I'm hoping enough time will have passed that I can have dairy again. Giving up the gluten and modifying life without it is MUCH easier than removing all dairy too. Even restaurants tend to have dairy in their gluten-free dishes. It's annoying. |
Yeah, I can imagine. Dairy is one of those things that finds its way into almost every dish. Which is actually kind of weird considering how many people are lactose intolerant. Not even thinking about those with allergies.
|
Yeah. I think that more people are gluten-intolerant in the US than is diagnosed. I still don't know if I'd have been diagnosed properly if I hadn't started having bodily reactions to the dairy.
With gluten I just get bloating, fatigue, feelings of being achy, brain fog, etc. With dairy I sometimes have my throat close off or "blister"-like raised patches appear at random places on my body. D< Blessed differences between "intolerant" and "allergic". |
