The kitchen still smells of what made me gag. This isn't good.
I straightened up the shoes area. Cole complains that mine are always in the way, but now he has as much in boots and shoes as I do. :XD
The eggs are cooking.

Got a notice in the mail that a high-risk sexual offender is in the area (just a few complexes down). Aggravated sexual assault of an eight year old kid. Makes me incredibly angry, because I know there are kids in that complex.

I'm glad they're sending out notices, but that's a pretty frightening prospect for all parents (and babysitters, family members). Hopefully nothing happens. I guess it depends on the track record. Hopefully recidivism won't be an issue.

Yeah it *is* pretty scary. Pedophiles tend to have a high rate of recidivism, though. Although, the offender is all of nineteen years old. Perhaps he's been caught early enough that he can be helped. He served two years, so that means he committed the crime at around seventeen. Man. That makes it so much worse. He's ruined his whole life before it started.

Yeah. The recidivism for a lot of offenses is high, depending. Putting him (or himself--we don't know the context) in an environment with children is not really the best way to ensure it won't happen again. But again, I don't know the context and I wasn't there.
He could have just had a stupid kid moment. Hopefully that's all it was. :gonk:

True. I don't think I want to know the context anyway. So we'll just hope that he doesn't do it again.

I may try to jog again later, if the rain stops. Which is doubtful. Practice some salsa since "Sofia" wants me to teach her. Make dinner, lounge around a bit, and maybe clean up the kitchen. Can you tell I'm trying to get more exercise? :P
Plus, I want to get some stuff done today so I don't have to worry about it tomorrow. "Charles" and I are going to watch some more Star Trek tomorrow.
What about you, what are your plans?

I'm home!! Yes, and MIL is alright, which has made me happy. They actually did $400 worth of work, paid for the tow truck and all it cost her was the $98 bucks for a couple of parts. (She wanted the breaks fixed after the fact, but they threw in brand new rims, new tires (nicer than the ones she had bought), new rotor, lugs, etc. She was only charged for the new parts she wanted upgraded that didn't get messed up from the accident and got free labor on all of it.)
Me, I'm feeling a lot better knowing it's the weekend and I get a couple days to settle down and work on a slower pace and grind out the next essay. That and I finally get to sleep in and have a lazy day if I want to. :P
I'm thinking of calling my mom to check up on her. They did the ultrasound yesterday and there's nothing wrong with her kidneys. They wrote off whatever was giving her a high blood pressure as she somehow was able to lay drugged up and still long enough for it to be considered healthy enough to be released. I really hope this gets her scared enough to quit smoking, and take her health a little more seriously.

My plans? Well, my nephew and I can't go over his spelling words. He accidentally left them with Mom last night. :gonk: I think he'll do fine though; he almost always does. He got straight-As this last report card.
So, I'll make dinner, and then it's the usual stuff. I have a meeting tomorrow morning, then we'll go grocery shopping. No idea about the weekend. I wanna clean a little because the dirt is getting to me.
I dunno Izumi. Sometimes people can be scared shitless and it's still too hard to quit once you're addicted. I wonder if Chantix could help? Though it makes some people act off kilter. :gonk:

@Izumi: Yay for mother in law getting through it with awesome to spare! I hope your mom quits, but it is incredibly hard.
@Chi: Hrmm. Couldn't you call your mom and get her to tell you what the words are? That's awesome that he's doing great with the grades.

I would, but she's out of town. Otherwise I'd have definitely called. She's taking my aunt up overnight since she has an MRI and could use the support. (My aunt, not my mom.)

I'm trying not to roll over and die laughing. My nephew and Cole are playing Rockband together and he has the same wigout response that I do. "TOO MANY NOTES?! I MUST HIT EVERYTHING IN RAPID SUCCESSION THEN!! D:"
I've not made a peep, but I'm so freakin' tickled. I guess I should go start on dinner though. XD

Hehehe. That sounds amusing as heck. My reaction to "too many arrows" on DDR is to dance around like there are ants in my pants and then stand there with my mouth wide open looking like a zombie at the screen until I finally recognize a move I can do. Hehe.

Maybe I'll play with Cole this weekend. I'm actually getting an itch to start cleaning ahead of time. I'm sure it'll go away as soon as I make supper, but maybe I'll take care of the bedroom tonight minus vacuuming and dusting. I could get everything straightened up from the bedroom to the kitchen tonight. The clutter isn't too bad. It's the dusting and sweeping that's gonna suck. xD
My stomach really hurts all of a sudden, so I guess I'm gonna go start preparing the stir-fry. See you guys later tonight?
