I had to get over an overwhelming feeling that I wouldn't enjoy it. But I'm actually having fun.
As far as an item whore, I change my XBox live avatar about once a year. Once I find a look I really like, it'll probably stick a while.

You're already doing better than I did at first. I actually had to overcome an overwhelming feeling of simply not enjoying it. :)

Izumi: XD I have over 1,500 unique items, and I still have trouble making a complete outfit.

Nope, I just kept donating for one set a month and letting my account sit idle, coming on for events and freebies, until I found a niche. :)

Then I was put on staff, and then I stopped enjoying the site again. I still haven't recovered completely from that.

Its a bit of a learning curve.
And a wonderful distraction. there is all kinds of crazy crap going on in our lives right now. I'm sure Tara has told you lots. Its nice having somehting interesting to do to keep my mind off it.
And its actually got me drinking the first beer I've had in months. It feels good to relax

I didn't even realize I had beer until I was cleaning out the fridge tonight. :)

I think that that's the whole trick to enjoying this place, Kin. I found my own little circle of friends who I know will always be fun to talk to.

I use to love the GD and the Life issues boards but it's so hard to keep up with the stuff, and there's only so much 'teenage crisis' BS I can read until I feel like vomiting.

I didn't have to kick him into anything. He joined of his own accord. When I signed up I just told him what I had done and he decided then to sign up even if he might not stick with it. xD

Welp, he stuck with it.

I always need more friends.
Money comes and goes, and possetions don't last, but friends are truely valuable.

Well at least I don't have to worry about him stalking me. My exhusband was creepy weird like that and he'd be like "What'd you mean by that?? And I'd feel like saying get a grip to him. He was overly insecure....
