I think they do check your grades if you want to pursue graduate school or transfer. I've been on the Dean's list all but one semester (I think). They matter until it's over, unless one knows they won't further their education. I just don't think it matters much for anyone to say, 10 years later, "I had a 4.0. :3" when they're flipping burgers due to a crap economy.

But, I think it depends on what you want to do, too. If you want to be a counselor, and you have a D in Statistics or a C in Latin, but As in every single Psych-related or Soc-related course, the skills are shown where the school would want them to be.

Maybe not though. They may not want people who don't put equal effort forth into every subject, no matter how damned boring it is to them. :XD

I have an interview for admissions next Friday. It's definitely one I'm going to have to prepare for. My stomach really really hurts.

I'm just trying to get through the first two years, with a desire to continue but at my own pace while (hopefully) working at a job I don't truly hate. One day at a time though, one day at a time!

Oh btw, Aaron is loving FF13. It took awhile to figure out the battle system and he says the story is a bit muddled at first but he is enjoying it. The graphics are absolutely stunning and movie clips blend in seamlessly with the actual battle it kinda is scary. I let him get the collectors edition guide with it too. He got a 20% discount on it too since he bought it on the day he picked up the game.

Pokemon is out this Sunday!! I'm DEAD excited, but at the same time I will have to wait until the kids go home before diving in as I really don't want a big scene and I have a feeling word will get back to their mom. I'd rather not hear it.

My fingers are still crossed that Cole gets in. He still hasn't heard anything/had any calls. He said he sent them an e-mail this morning, so hopefully later on in the afternoon we'll have a status update. The only thing that's left is for his transcripts to be reviewed.

Hopefully when you get your Associates you'll be in a job that pays a bit more/has more secure hours, and then you can go further if you want. I'm waiting to see how he and I work dynamically once the baby's here. If we work well enough, I'd like to take more classes than just 2 a semester. Depends though. I just don't want to do the school thing for 4 more years....

I'm glad to hear FFXIII is nice. I think I'm going to save mine 'till my break. I guess it depends how much I have going on between now and then. A lot of the project work this semester is coming up soon. :XD

I'm just trying to get caught up in this really depressing novel we have to read in English. I basically had to read 150 pages in 2 nights and it's a difficult read. There's a lot of African towns, names, and it switches back between the stories of three boys accounts interwoven. It's very depressing the stuff they go through and how they finally get to where they think it's all over, only to find out they've taken one step behind. Horrific.

I've also had to read an entire chapter in psych last night and found the homework to be harder than normal as she pulls a few questions from the notes and not the book. I didn't like those.

Now all that's left for tomorrow's classes is 30 more pages in the novel and two lessons of Algebra then I can call it a night. Plus there's American Idol at 8 tonight so I kinda want to pause for that.

You know Chi, I'll be thinking of you when this baby comes - it's hard enough just keeping up as things stands at times...I can't imagine having a kid too and doing this amount of school stuff. I'm really hoping to ride out on unemployment for as long as humanly possible so I can crunch in as much as I can take. After summer classes I'll be primarily focusing on the meat of my degree and it should be a bit more interwoven. A lot of psych and development classes which will hopefully help cement things as I go along.

I've... never had difficulty with classes. Even with Latin, I never go to class but it's only just now occurred to me that I have As on all weekly quizzes, except one that I may have gotten a B+ on. If I get a bad final grade it will be because of attendance. Same with Zoology. It bored me, it was early morning, so I rarely went. I still got a B (or was it B+?) for doing barely anything. I think I take it for granted. :\ Or I just don't realize it's not the same for everyone else. I just find myself glad that I don't end up having to study several hours a week. I barely put in 1 hour a week right now, and that's because I look over Latin vocab.

The classes that actually inspire me, I have no problems with. The only time involvement is for the reading. And paper writing. I did stress out on the 24 credit semester, but I've never had difficulty with 15 credits. I won't know what to do with myself just taking 6 credits per semester at graduate school, if I get in.

We'll see how optimistic I am without sleep, though. :XD If I have a difficult infant, I will be dragging ass. I'm just grateful that I'd be in ALL Psych classes, so I would be stimulated and wanting of the work.

Me either Kin, but today is the last day of school for the week. Yippie! I enjoy it, but I always look forward to a little time off. I'm glad for the time being I'm not working. As I've said many times, I'm hoping to keep it that way...otherwise I can see myself pretty stressed.

Chi - I doubt I need to study as much as I do (and I only really study for Psych, and that's looking over the review paper she gives and highlighting the answers...) but I feel a bit more confident when I come into class. Most of what occupies me is homework, and I do it because they do random collections in math and psych I have to read to answer the questions.

Blee. I finally got my hair trimmed, and I picked up an outfit for my interview next Friday. I only have casual-type dressy in my current wardrobe without anything really suitable otherwise. I love Fashion Bug.

So I'm at least going to be physically presentable in a week. We'll see if I can get the mental part situated by then so I can knock 'em dead. :XD
