Same here! But I have to work! xD unless I can take it off? But I prefer to work. Since it is Masters Week then. And I am a waitress. And you make killer tips >D

Chi 03-12-2010 08:06 PM

Extra money is always a good thing. :XD I'm not sure if I have work that week or not. Probably at least 15 hours.

Izumi 03-13-2010 01:51 AM

It's three weeks for me. :(

I'm counting down the days though. :XP

Chi 03-13-2010 02:55 AM

Time will fly by. It's already doing a good job with it. I can't wait 'till May so I can get back into interesting classes. :XD

Izumi 03-13-2010 03:08 AM

LOL. Sounds like me and summer...I've got a computer class and small business management. Yuck.

Chi 03-13-2010 03:54 AM

That sounds pretty awful. ;_; I had to do economics last summer (but creative writing and something else, too, so it wasn't too bad).

Izumi 03-13-2010 04:08 AM

Yah I'm not overly excited about it. Speaking of which, I'm still waiting to hear back from FAFSA about fall season. I already submitted my info for taxes too. I have a feeling I'll need to repetition it.

Chi 03-13-2010 03:05 PM

I'm not sure what aid, if any, I'd be getting toward graduate school. I have a lot of confidence that most of Cole's undergrad costs will be paid for.

It'll be interesting, but I know we'll manage. xD

Izumi 03-13-2010 03:41 PM

I'm hoping they don't reduce the amount available through federal aid because of the economy. I know that getting into the state's program is becoming more and more difficult as they have a lot of demand but they're working with less money as budget cuts have to be made. :/

Chi 03-13-2010 04:41 PM

Yah. I know that we'll have something available to us, as we'll have the baby in August, but in no way do I think we'll get through this without a ton of loans. I'm okay with loans though, as our programs both have reimbursement options after we get into the work force.

And if not, making $1300-1600 together each week will pay the bills off regardless. We'll just have to spend a few years paying back before we get a house. I'm okay with that too though. I just want us to work and be happy working, not this shit.

Izumi 03-13-2010 07:45 PM

I hear you. Every job I've had so far has sucked. I never had a day where I looked forward to work...it's always been lets get it done so we can pay the bills. I haven't had a 'real' (commuting) job in like a good 3 years so that is going to be a shock to the system when I first start. The ONLY thing I've really enjoyed about taking calls from home is the fact I could literally roll out of bed and start. Other than that, and the times where it's quiet (but then again there's less hours to go around -_-) I really despise it.

Chi 03-14-2010 04:22 PM

What I'm doing now can be done from home, too, but the monotony is disgustingly boring for me. Speaking of, I still have more of it to do today.

I'm curious what will come of my typical summer work. I used to get full 40 hour weeks in due to the higher shipping demands and whatnot that the summer usually brings. They're talking about getting upgraded equipment which will essentially remove a need for me.

It's good that they're finally starting to do some utilization, but I'm uncertain how I feel about the summer. Part of me would be completely fine just taking classes and doing the type of work I am now. Hell, another part of me would be okay without any of it. I'd just feel better about that if I won the lottery in the interim. :XD

Mobsy 03-14-2010 04:27 PM

How much did you want for the Bee Slippers?

Chi 03-14-2010 05:03 PM

The past two pairs of slippers I sold were for 25k, either with pure or items. :)

Mobsy 03-14-2010 05:35 PM

Oh, okay.

mau5ie 03-15-2010 05:16 PM

drools at bee slippers.
not asking you to hold them for me, but i'm going to start buying march CIs and either selling or just holding onto them.
woo!
the bees are soo cute! ^^
good luck selling.

Chi 03-16-2010 10:12 PM

I would take March CIs, but that would be an awful lot of donating in one go. @[email protected]

How is everyone? I've been out more than in, but that's a given.

Izumi 03-16-2010 10:42 PM

Sick as hell and have a psych test tomorrow and a final paper due on Thurs.

Then I have to have a rough draft done up for Tuesday for my argumentative piece, which requires research. :(

I'm looking forward to spring break, needless to say...

Chi 03-17-2010 12:28 AM

Being sick on top of it definitely isn't helping things, I'd imagine.

How many more weeks do you have to go? I can't remember if you get yours before or after I do..

Izumi 03-17-2010 02:26 PM

First week of April is when our Spring Break starts. So I still have 2 weeks to go after this one. I'm looking forward to some time off, but something tells me my instructors will send me home with homework. I know I have a psych paper due really soon...like mid to end April. I'll probably try to work on that while I have a break from English. That class seems to ALWAYS have some writing assignment going on...and they're getting harder now. We have to actually research and do MLA documentation..*hates* I'm glad this is the only English course for this degree!

Chi 03-17-2010 03:00 PM

I gotta tell you though, if you plan on pursuing Psych courses, be prepared for many more research papers in APA style. I can't tell you how many I've written.. and graduate school's going to be worse. From the sounds of my friend's updates, she's writing a 12 page paper every week or every other week. Guaaah.

How's your flu/sickness doing?

Silverwingedshadows 03-17-2010 03:07 PM

Happy St. Pats, Chi.

Chi 03-17-2010 06:51 PM

Happy St. Patti's to you, too!! Any plans, or are you just gonna enjoy the day? :3

Azazel 03-17-2010 06:57 PM

Happy St Patty's day Chi!

*Pinches Chi*

Put some green on woman! ;)

Saisei 03-17-2010 07:00 PM

The first thing I did at work this morning was went around pinching people who weren't wearing green.

I had to do it right away, because we were working with cuprinol which makes everything green anyways (including the workers).
