I ran over a dead dear on the highway one night coming home from work.
Wasn't a pleasant experience.... >.<

Mine jumped out of the bushes on a corner of the road which left me with nothing else to do. e_e Luckily only the left front was hurt, and the baby and I were unscathed.

I'm glad to hear that you are unscathed Chi!! Still must have been a scary experience (for both you and the poor deer).
Hi btw. xD

I'm glad to hear you're OK, Chi. I've had a couple real close encounters with deer but so far we've been lucky. *knocks on wood*
Finally got my DB work done for psych. I need to finish reading and take the test though. :/

Looking for offers. :)
@Rusa
Hi. xD <3
@Fulk
Thanks. :3
@Izumi
It was my first experience with one. It did nothing but annoy me in the end. We'd only JUST paid $650 or so in car repairs. ><;
Sounds like Cole has about the same left to do on his. I still need to respond to my discussion boards. Should also pack my schoolbag again since class starts (commuter class anyway) next week.

Fun fun. I think we're dropping the kids off Friday, then have a day or two of peace and quiet before spending time with my parents for a couple of days. (All while keeping up with my schoolwork...I haven't looked at next week's list of stuff but I'm hoping it won't be too demanding..)
I've been really busy lately though so I kind of dropped off the face of the earth as far as Mene goes. I think I'm ready to return now. :)

I've really no excuse to have disappeared from Mene.. sometimes I think it has little appeal to me now.. but I dislike that thought because up to a point I'd enjoyed it a lot. Perhaps was using it for the wrong reasons.. but it had helped with stress as silly as that sounds.

@Rusa
I've not been around either. I essentially just bump my threads and go elsewhere. It's been boring as hell here lately.
As for how I've been? Busy. That's pretty much it. I'm exhausted more than not, but Red Tide is on its way so it gives me an excuse to not have to work. I felt too much guilt to NOT work, as we need the money. Buuut, if I can't work due to the Red Tide, I'm taking the vacation and "only" having school to do until birth. If we need to put the bills on a credit card for the month of August, I really don't give a shit anymore.
@Izumi
Yeah. I underestimated the time it takes to do my grad classes. Er, class. I can only imagine how bogged down I'm going to be with the two of them. The Fall semester (and Spring) won't be as bad as the classes won't be crammed. x.x

I've been on Mene only to lurk saddly the passed little while. Not sure what I was looking for I'd just refresh control panel see there was nothing too new and disappear again. Though there wouldn't be anything new in it anyway. -sigh- Oh I would also lurk Infodesk and SF.. perhaps old mod days still in me.. though wouldn't go farther.
Ah.. Red Tide?/

I keep thinking if I branch out into GD or LI or something else I'll be more motivated to keep active. Right now it's just quiet. Maybe the next event will help.
Red Tide affects shellfish. An algae sometimes blooms during the summer months that bivalves eat. It weakens them (but doesn't kill them), and if humans or animals consume them they can die. So, harvesting/selling/shipping is illegal. They shut off fishing when the levels are "80" (don't know the unit of measurement) but it can only kill a person at "1000" or more. Essentially, they keep it safe.

Erm, no. It's illegal to harvest shellfish/send it off to the supermarkets when the levels are dangerous. They shut down things long before the levels can harm humans.
It doesn't affect non-shellfish/bivalves according to literature. If you're concerned, Google some searches. People still eat lobsters, for instance, so long as they keep away from the tamale. I don't because to me the meat tastes different. I'm certainly not going to touch it being pregnant. *shrug* xD

Yeah, I feel the same, I found on GD topic but it's really just the same as a hangout topic I'm in that's inactive on BJD's. Though I've only been lurking the BJD community forum as much as I have Mene. xP
Oh, I see. I didn't know about that. ^^; Though I don't eat much shellfish, which may be part of the reason. :lol:

Shellfish - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm just curious now if the Red Tide thing is for bivalves or all. They say it's fine to continue on eating shrimp, crabs, lobsters and such. Either way, I'd not show concern. Your supermarkets and restaurants won't be selling or serving anything that isn't safe. (That, and many places keep a frozen stock of foods, which would be entirely unaffected and perfectly yummy.)
@Rusa
I wouldn't know about it unless it affected the family business, so no worries. :XD I'm just looking forward to the break in all honesty. I'm tired.

I looove salmon, but my favorite is smoked over a bagel with cream cheese. :drool: I swear I'm eating that every day once the baby's here. Hehe. I've had to put it on hold (though I did eat it a few times throughout) due to the listeria "risk".
I've never had tilapia, but I imagine it's tasty. I love haddock and cod.

He'll tolerate shrimp, and the meatier fish...like swordfish and trout, but not much else.
