Mhmmm. Last two weeks of summer semester though.

I'm worried about Fall though. I've increased my credits from 12 last semester to 18. Two of my classes are in subjects I'm not too thrilled about. The others sound fun though. :)

I'm not too worried about getting it done. I've got plenty of time. I just am bracing myself for a busy next couple of weeks.

Still need to test for my license too...hopefully sometime inbetween that 3 week break we'll figure it out. :/ When kids aren't here and money is...heh...

Yeah, with me I rarely take item trades unless it's for the more current CIs because I have everything else. :\ Gold is really what I make use out of now. Still, someone will come for your Evil Overlord. They're popular!

Yeah, I'd be stressed out about the license. Once you get it you'll feel tons better and more independent. I'll keep my fingers crossed. I wish it weren't so expensive. It seems EVERYTHING is money centered now. ><;

I'm waiting on a phone call back from someone in town. Where I was going to have the baby shower is booked up the entirety of August, so I'm seeing if hopefully they have the 31st open. It's wicked short notice for everyone, but I'd send out the Facebook invites tonight. It's either that or check for one of the grammar school gyms, but the setup and lighting there is horrid. It would work in a pinch though.

Windy, if/when you read this, I added a notice to the raffle in both my Exchange and Charity threads. I hope you guys are able to branch out your advertising beyond that of the Exchange. It won't help if only a small portion of the site gets exposure.

I bet the art forum would be helpful to have people mention/link to it too. :3

I would be tempted to ask if staff would mind doing an announcement of some type in the announcements forum.

Might be hard pressed, but you'd get the exposure you need.

Chi - Afternoon! I've got my Excel test out of the way and I'm working on more of my assignments while watching CSPAN in the background. The unemployment extension is being voted on again at 2:30pm, and I'm planning on watching it live.

They may not want to, as it would be comparable to benefit fundraisers. Rarely do you see the individual benefiting saying, "Please come and help raise money for my cause." That's how I'd take it if I weren't aware of what's going on, but I know not everyone would. D:

Hopefully it'll be good news regarding the unemployment extension. I should know by the end of this week whether or not I get to go back to work. It seems like I'll be able to get a minimum of 10 hours, and I could end up getting more. Depends on how the baby's temperament is and whether or not my aunt can keep working with her illness.

I've no complaints even to get the 10 hours a week. It'll help pad out the loans a lot.

Well my fingers are crossed for you, too.

If they pass the extension, I can finish up fall semester before wondering if we'll need to pull out more ourselves. At least then I'll have first year under my belt and (pretty much) halfway through with my associates and it won't seem quite as crushing if I have to pull out loans to get through the second half. I want to at least get my associates, although I'm hoping whatever happens afterward I'll be able to work on further education part-time while working. I'm just hoping with SOME college education I'll be able to get a semi-decent job which will be supportive of any further classes, in case they somehow clash with normal business hours. My fingers are crossed.

I'm kinda hoping I'll get my aunt's spot. If I get on a salary position (if), I could take unemployment should something go sour. I've never had the option just getting hourly pay.

Here's hoping it all works out. Do they have student work options at your college? That way you'd have a job and maybe not have to take out the loans. (Plus you could work on campus, which is beneficially in SOME instances as there's downtime to do homework, depending on the job.)

You see that's the sad thing -- I was on hourly wage, on an as needed basis...so my unemployment benefit is less than $300 for two weeks. Saying that, it helps offset child support payments. Basically robbing Peter to pay Paul.

I bumped into one of the neighbors who has some extra clippings from her garden she's going to have her son dig up. I'm excited as that's how I've gotten my garden to grow. :)

My mother always said you should never rob Peter to pay Paul, because all you'll end up with is a sore Peter. :)

Guess what Kin?? They PASSED it. Barely, but it passed!! Thank GOODNESS. Now I have a little more time bought for me. Precious little time, but it'll get me that much more forward with school work without having to go in the hole for it. YAY!
