And yes the transparency rocks. I love it cause my one major issue with the squid hats is they were too cover up to the point where it became a bit much. With a little transparency it really makes the item...I dunno how best to word it. :XP

It's too bad they didn't make those items like mini event items in the event shop. That would of been cool.

You can put any ps1 game on PSP if you really want to. So far I've done ff7, ff8, Symphony of the Night, and Bust a Move '99

Izumi: I traded one of my ships on my head (Nalin gave me two) for an iridescent squid, and then accidentally canceled the trade instead of accepted. <<,, So I sent a new trade and am watching it furiously with the worry the trader will change his mind. XD

I'm only after the squid, but I've not really done much participating in the actual event. I was around mene a little bit...but none of the contests caught my eye.

Some charity is doing a writing contest for the squid. Too bad I suck in that department or I'd be tempted. I might sit and think on it though and enter for the hell of it.

Oh, I may try that. I could try to trade extra squiddie for booz.

Which charity? I may enter as well. It's been a while since I've written something.

I think I might finish up my business homework today. Get it out of the way. I got an A on the business plan project! I'm totally stoked. :D

I have a huge stack of work to get through. If I leave here earlier than planned I'll get more of my group work stuff done. I doubt I'll have the energy to do it tonight after class. I work tomorrow too, since Thursday is full of baby appointments. D:

I was semi layed off. I go in, and my supervisor says, "I was going to email you on Tuesday and ask you to start coming in a third day, but then the CEO emailed me this." And he shows me what he was emailed, and basically, they've been paying me out of pocket because the company isn't making enough to cover all costs. But the CEO's house was flooded a couple of weekends ago, and insurance isn't covering it, so he can't afford to do that.

It's not as bad as I was worried the first time I said something to you, because they're still paying me freelance style to write articles and post in the forums, it's just not as much money.

Have any of the other job searches panned out? I'm assuming no. Can you go on unemployment for the time you worked there, or does freelance keep you from being able to collect anything? Not sure how self-employment works.

I had 3 weeks off due to Red Tide. Shortest Red Tide ever, apparently. It's looking highly probable that I'll be working while in school and raising the baby, provided she is healthy and not a terror. It's been a while since I caught up with you.

And no. You have to pay into unemployment. I was always a "contractor" even when working in the office, not an employee. They didn't even take taxes out.

That's a bummer...

I think this time if work shuts down/I get laid off I'm going to look into it. Even if my amount received would be piddly, a piddly amount is better than no amount at all.

Basically my aunt's health is getting bad enough that she may have to stop working completely. As it is she's not really able to do the job I do anymore. The only reason that's relevant is because our main dealer had to change their policies that resulted in the amount of work I do jumping 8x its usual.

Or rather, I shouldn't say it made the efforts increase, but the time involved to get it all done. The work itself is easy and a monkey could do it, so this monkey is doing it and enjoying her paycheck. With all the car repairs this summer (I think I told you about the deer and the insurance claim BS, and then the oil leak after that) our loans were shot. Even with me having worked since May, minus the 3 weeks, we've still had to take out money via a credit card to pay rent and bills for August.

Such is life though. It'll get better.
