We're not sure what damages are permanent or not just yet, but he's definitely lucky to be alive. The baby has been helping him a lot. I do believe he's got motivation from her, which is why I'll be glad to get back up there.

Thank you both. It's my hope he'll be home by the end of the month. It will be much much easier once he's home and we only live ten minutes away. We're already planning on cooking meals and helping out with the little day-to-day stuff.

We won't know about the promotion for awhile I would think. The deadline is the 7th...and last position he didn't hear until a few months later, and was told he didn't get it because he was too valuable where he is at now. >_> (*thinks it was just a way to make him feel better, but anyways*)

Setting up for work. I've done about 4 hours training and 2 extra hours on my day off, on top of my usual 30...feel exhausted that's all as work is still really busy. I guess this week I'm just shy of being 'full time'. I'm glad I didn't sign up for those hours...

I'm still thinking of you too and hoping the best for your dad. Like I said, you've got better reasons to be stressed out. Me...just the usual. :XP

:hug: Thanks hon. It means a lot! We're back up in the hotel attached to the hospital. Dad's doing great. He's up on the rehab floor and he's very focused now. He wants to get into the program, do what he has to do, and then get home. On the plus side, little to NO slurring of his words, and he's got a lot of use of his right hand. He's a long way to go yet, but this was a shocking surprise to come back to tonight. I feel hopeful, which is more than I felt a few days ago.

His biggest problem right now is nonsensical words. His tone is there. It would be like if I were to sit here talking to you about how awesome the duck on the bread is and why the grass can't do without the rose. ;)
