Awww, poor Izumi! *hugs*
I'm so sorry that the hubby was being insensitive. Is he in a bad mood about your electronics?

Izumi 01-16-2011 04:14 AM

No he's in a bad mood cause I ruined the 'family time'.

Bleh.

steelmagghia 01-16-2011 04:20 AM

Aww. You know what? I do understand his upset-ness, but there are much better ways to go about it. And I understand why you would get a little moody about the movie, too. I get that way sometimes.

Izumi 01-16-2011 04:23 AM

Yah he came in here to apologize, gave me a kiss and walked off.

Anyways eventually I need to comb through the massive pile of PMs on my other forum here and compile a list. Otherwise this might get out of hand. ^_^;; Not tonight though. I'm not really ready for it.

steelmagghia 01-16-2011 04:25 AM

A list of whats?

Izumi 01-16-2011 05:07 AM

Just of who is buying what and when. I swear when I opened the selling to the public I got swamped with PMs.

steelmagghia 01-16-2011 05:09 AM

Holy cow, womans! That was fast.

Izumi 01-16-2011 05:21 AM

Yah my head is spinning. I'm hoping that I don't have any issues with buyers. I'm going to have to keep ahold of receipts until I make sure everyone gets their items. I'm trying to do it without ebay as I really don't want to have to pay them listing fees AND a cut of the money. I'd rather give the discount straight to the buyer and not over complicate things. The problem is I really have too many, and too many interested parties.

Then I have people who simply don't trust me and want me to put on Ebay ANYWAYS. I'm like ugh. I'm going to have to figure out how to do those...I can kinda understand why, but being a moderator in good standing with Ebay I'm not going to be jeopardizing my good standing. Not to mention I'm asking Paypal for all transactions. ^_^;;

That and you guys all know I'm honest, right? :)

steelmagghia 01-16-2011 05:29 AM

Well, WE do, but some people may not. :P

This is going to be a very, very complicated sale.

Izumi 01-16-2011 05:33 AM

Well I figured I either do it this way...or I could lump it in one massive auction and end up crossing my fingers. We'll see. I trust a good handful of them for sure...It just takes one rotten egg to ruin the bunch though.

steelmagghia 01-16-2011 05:34 AM

That is true. I hope they all end up working out for you.

Izumi 01-16-2011 05:35 AM

Thanks hun. :) Me too. Me too.

steelmagghia 01-16-2011 05:36 AM

How many do you have?

Izumi 01-16-2011 05:37 AM

Oh god....at least a hundred..

I've got one individual who is really interested in the non-tamagotchi pets and hopefully I'll just sell those in one nice big lot to her.

The others I'm trying to get about $15-20 a piece.

Chi 01-16-2011 05:40 AM

If you take PayPal, they've no reason to distrust you. They can file a chargeback if you don't send the stuff. I know you would send it anyway, but that's the reason no one should worry. O_o I don't get people sometimes.

Oh, and make sure you ship EVERYTHING with delivery confirmation. I don't know how often you sell or not, but if you don't, people can make chargebacks via PayPal and you're out anyway, regardless of honesty.

Steel, your internship sounds fantastic!

Izumi 01-16-2011 05:42 AM

Yah I SWEAR by delivery confirmation, too. So if you show you sent it Paypal won't honor the chargeback?

What if it's international?

steelmagghia 01-16-2011 05:43 AM

Holy cowsicles, Izumi! That is a TON of pets. I think I had all of one Tamgotchi and two knock offs forever ago. Their batteries died long after we had lost interest. Heh.

@Chi: It really does. And the fact that I'm rabies vaccinated already makes it even better, because it means I get to work with the mammals.

Chi 01-16-2011 05:49 AM

Izumi, delivery confirmation is enough for US transactions. I think there was something else saying if the sale is over X amount in value it's best to get signature confirmation as well, but check PayPal's FAQ. In most cases I do believe DC is enough. Someone on eBay once tried to screw me and another bunch of people over simultaneously, and the ones who had DC got refunded, myself included.

I will no longer ship internationally due to PayPal's ridiculous expectations for proof of shipment. Your only option really is express shipping, and it's horribly expensive. I've had buyers give me low ratings due to the shipping costs, even when I didn't make profit on shipping. At all.

I could rant and rant about this, but I won't. Stick with express for international, as it's the safest in terms of protecting yourself. Customs forms aren't enough, nor is registered mail (last I checked). You'll want to double-check me on that one.

Steel, that's definitely a motivational internship. I love those. I'm scared and excited for my practicum. I'll essentially be doing what my actual job will be, under the supervision of a licensed counselor.

steelmagghia 01-16-2011 05:52 AM

I hope your practicum is a good experience. It would be sad if you went into the career with a bad one.

I am super excited. I need to set up times, but that's going to have to wait until I find out the deal with my gallbladder Monday.

Izumi 01-16-2011 05:53 AM

OK thanks for the heads up, Chi! :)

Well ladies I need to try and get some sleep...try is key word. Take care!

Chi 01-16-2011 05:58 AM

See you, Izumi!

Steel, I have faith it will be a good experience for the both of us. I just hope your gallbladder is being kind to you soon!

steelmagghia 01-16-2011 05:59 AM

Night Izumi.
Yay for faith in internships! And me, too. Stupid gallbladder.

Also: watching Dirty Jobs is making me giggle my butt off.

Chi 01-16-2011 06:05 AM

I unfortunately need to hit the hay, too. The baby is passively sleeping now, and we're meant to go out of town tomorrow to get necessary gluten- and dairy-free groceries.. and school supplies. e_e Sometimes, and only sometimes, I hate living in the middle of nowhere.

Night Steel!

steelmagghia 01-16-2011 06:11 AM

Night, Chibean! Have a good day tomorrow. :)

Chi 01-16-2011 06:11 PM

I hope you have a good day today, too. :3 We ended up not going out today. We overslept.

I don't know why but I'm back on a midnight-1am or later schedule. I need to get back to 10pm. x.x
