My husband begins working in a nursing home for his nursing clinicals in November (I think). I agree that it's a growing field!

Mmm... hopefully she will be independent by then, if not...then best of luck handling her. Any idea where your placement will be? Because if it's close by to where she'll be, it wouldn't be too bad.
Oh, nice. Seniors are a real joy to work with, and they're really fun to talk with as well. : D
Mmm...definitely! Especially with all the baby boomers from way back when all beginning to retire and such. :3

I'm not sure where I'll be placed, but my fingers are crossed that it will be local. We want to enroll her in the local Montessori school for her daycare, so if all goes well she should be within a 10-15 minute driving distance.

Mmm... I wish you the best of luck in getting a nearby location for your placement! :3 Oh, nice...a 10-15 minute drive is excellent! Though I have no clue what a Montessori school is, it sounds like a great choice of school.

It's a type of schooling where children are allowed to explore their interests and do what inspires them, usually. They have different play stations where children can sit and play, like science, math, cooking, art, etc. I don't know how well formed the one near town is, but we'll be checking it out within the year. She may need daycare this summer for all I know.
I'm not sure we get much choice where we get our practicum and internship, which annoys me, but I'll take what I can get just to graduate. O:<

I had a chiropractic appointment about an hour ago, and the baby and I will hopefully do something today while my husband's at work. Somewhere in there I need to get going on homework.
I'm sore and icing my back at the moment. Dx
How's your Friday?

So how are you doing? I haven't bumped into you for awhile. I'm off today and tomorrow. Yesterday morning we ended up having to take a trip up to the ER because Aaron's kidney stones flared up really bad. He's in pain tonight, but not nearly as bad and the doctor has giving him meds to help him cope. Hoping that this isn't something he will be dealing with for the rest of his life. At least not like this.

Oh, that sounds pretty good. :3 Definitely would be nice to see what she's interested in now, rather than later. Though it won't make too much difference, imo, because I'm sure her opinions and preferences will definitely change over time. But if they didn't, that'd be pretty interesting as it's not exactly a common happening.
Lol, yeah. Just graduate first and then find a job close to home! >:3 Sounds like a great plan to me! :yes:

Izumi:
It's been stressful trying to juggle everything, but everything's normal at least. I keep saying I need to get back on a multivitamin or something, and now I just need to get off my duff and do it. I'm always tired now. Always.
Poor Aaron. :( I can't imagine how much pain he's in!
@Ari
Oh, I agree. Preferences change all the time. It's more about giving children that initial inspiration, or rather for when children don't know or don't have all the avenues around them to explore potential likes. It's all about self-discovery, which does indeed change over time. Some don't have the skills to know or act on their wants though, which is something I never understood..

Yeah. I still have a bunch of 11 CIs to catch up on, but they're not really that high on my priority list right now. Finishing my collections of EIs from after St. Patrick 07 does. xD I am not insane enough to go after all those Val and St. Patrick 07s just yet, but the other, cheaper stuff? Yeah. Got most of that, of course, mainly missing 11s and a few other things here-and-there. xD
